Although these appeared to be perfectly good, usable bottlers,I recommend caution when capping. I used these the first time without any issues at all. The second go around though, while pushing down on the capper, the top of one of the bottles snapped off clean. It looked almost like it had been cut off with a glass cutter. Tiny shards of glass of course, so the beer was ruined as well. I wasn't real happy. I'm new to home brewing, and the first time I was having a littler trouble keeping the capper straight on the bottles. So I may have damaged one, that remains to be seen. But it's got me gun-shy now. I will use what's left to see if there are any more problems. If not I'll update and purchase more.

Bought bottles before and always had 3 or 4 bad ones but out of the 2 cases I bought I only had 1 bad bottle and all that was wrong with it was a small air bubble in the glass on the side. I didn't want to risk fermentation causing it to crack or shatter and make a mess in my brew closet. I did manage to break 2 of them but I suspect I did not have the cap crimper level and it caused the neck to crack slightly.The box it comes in is well packaged and I decided to keep it since it's got nice separators so I can easily transport my batches to parties and have a place to put used bottles to bring them home to reuse them.

These bottles, and maybe I just got a bad batch, are very brittle. During capping two of the bottles shattered. After capping, the pressure made the rest explode within one day. You can actually take one of these bottles and with a moderate amount of force, crush it in your hand. It is almost like they are made out of the glass used in movies that breaks easily. Just run commercial bottles through the dishwasher and save money.

I've tried to duplicate the product photo featured to the left <---------, but to no avail. I keep messing up by filling these bottles with beer and drinking them or having my friends drinking them and the bottles get all misplaced...whoever made the photos is gifted. For real.

One bottle was broken. I don't blame North Mountain's box, so much as the box that Amazon packed that box in. The box was open when it arrived, but the tape was still on. This isn't the first box I've gotten where the tape Amazon branded tape was coming off either.So, one star lost because Amazon's tape allowed for the damage to one bottle.

These bottles are great! I've placed four orders and they all came in on time and intact. I've read several reviews where people had issues where they had received the twist cap bottles versus the pop top or 'lipped' bottles. Yet all the orders I've placed have been the 'lipped' ones. With no manufacturing defects and several uses with no breaks out of 96 bottles, I'm pleased to say that I'd order again in a heartbeat if I needed anymore.

No issues for the most part. They have however started breaking at the mouth when opening and bottling after 2 brewing cycles.

We collected our first 100 bottles just from store-bought beers but got sick and tired of soaking and peeling off labels, and since we give away a lot, we were running up against a bottling day and didn't have enough. Pretty much worth the price of the bottles to just have to rinse and sanitize - easy peasy.Wish there was a cheaper/better shipping option though. FedEx is overpriced and VERY unreliable, so we actually had to delay bottling a few days when there was a delay. The seller was very responsive and accommodating though - I really do blame FedEx. Just wish there was a cheaper better shipping option in case we need to order more soon.
