KID TESTED TOUGH
For the past year, my two young kids shared a NEXUS 7 FHD tablet with a Poetic Graphgrip case, and let me tell you, they both used the heck out of it before it was replaced by a pair of NEXUS 9's with these Turtleskin cases.Needless to say, that Graphgrip case took a major beating, so too the NEXUS 7 tablet. The case was stretched, pulled, used as a carry handle, abused incessantly, worn down constantly, and just all around tore up. My daughter dropped the tablet on its corner once and cracked the screen and consequently put a hole in the Graphgrip case there too. At the time, I thought that that case was all the protection the tablet would need. Well, for adults, yes. But kids? NO! I'm not dissing the Graphgrip at all. I really like that case, but it's just not good enough for the abuse small children can dole out on a tablet. So, I learned my lesson, and this time around and got a pair of these Turtleskin cases. The case fits tight on the tablet all around the four edges. The openings of the case align fairly well with their respective accessories and ports of the tablet. The USB and headphone openings are over-sized; headphone and USB cables should have plenty of clearance. The colors are vibrant. My kids just love that! Of course, the corners are just about as beefy as can be. You can tell that from the pictures here on Amazon. And I can tell right away, after I put the cases on the tablets, that the tablets will be protected from drops on the corners - and even on the screens. The power button and the two volume buttons that are located on the side of the tablet have been enhanced by this case. They are big bosses now; easier to find and push just by feeling for them. The tablet is a lot easier to turn ON/OFF, and to adjust the volume. Again, the kids just love that!!!!I'm knocking one star off because of one tiny little niggle. The case does not fit as tight to the back of the tablet as I think it could. It could fit just a bit tighter back there, IMO. The case kinda flops loosely against the back of the tablet. Like I said, this is a just a little niggle, and it's not really that bad. I noticed it, but my kids will never notice such a thing, or care.Oh, and one more thing. POETIC should dump the pink-ish purple color for a truer pink color - for girls. After a week of use and abuse by my two kids all I can say is, so far so good, HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

Design flaw: Interferes with notification bar in landscape
Design flaw: This product interferes with the tablets notification pull-down bar when the tablet is being used in landscape mode. The case extends too far down onto the capacitive display, making it nearly impossible to swipe down the notification bar when in landscape.I have contacted Poetic more than once, through their website and through Amazon, yet no company representative has bothered to reply back.Poetic, if you're reading this, have you released an updated version of this case? And, can you please reply to your customer inquiries.
