So far I am very pleased with the functions of the recorder , it was simple to set up and start recording , and it also included a extra disc for recording , you can record on the recorder itself or record to a disc you instal on the side so you have plenty of space for recording anthing you need and it gave me plenty of space for what I needed the recorder for . Actually I used it to record my wishes on my will and then my Lawyer had my voice recording to use to write out my wishes and it is said in my voice so there will be no dispute in my will after my time is up and the parties it concerns can always here the recording I made to who gets what . It is a neat gadget to have and I plan on using it to record stuff I may need to record , since my Heart Attack I have a lot of short term memory loss so I can record things that I may forget and since it is so small I can carry it around with me in my pocket . I bought this recorder for recording my classes because I am not native English speaker and I sometimes find professors speak so fast. This semester has just finished. And this product deserved a recommendation. I recommend this product definitively!What are the PROSIt is amazing because sound is so clear and battery is enough for hours. A great little recorder! I had the earlier model of this until it was lost - I guess the downside is that they are small, fit in pockets, and can slip away - and always appreciated the quality of the recording and the USB-stick like convenience. I am even more satisfied with the new model which has a rechargeable battery and continues to plug directly into the computer just like a USB stick. This kind is so easy and basically foolproof. While this can be used like an MP3 player I wouldn't want to wear it out using it regularly for that. I saw other reviews saying it was hard to fully charge the battery or to record with adequate volume. I have not experienced that.

I hate this product. Not only was it expensive, but it won't turn on as others have mentioned. I changed battery (confirmed that the battery has juice with meter), and also tried plugging it into the computer via usb. NOTHING. Damn thing won't turn on. There's a design or component defect on this model. Definitely will try another brand. Also, if you guys use recorders, get one with an external memory card so that if it ever goes bad, all files are saved on the external card. I think the recorder should only use external memory and never carry an internal memory so that if the device breaks, the company wouldn't have caused the loss of all recordings. I've lost more than one semester worth of recording on this useless piece of dirt. Look at the one stars.

I received this item a few days ago. Firstly let me address the good things: The sound quality seemed fair. The mic was very sensitive and seemed to produce a high quality recording. The recorder was easy to operate and small enough to fit in a pocket unnoticed. However... this product felt sooo incredible cheap! I could instantly tell that with one drop, this thing would be out of commission. I drop my phone and IPod ALL the time so this was not very comforting to me. The plastic was garbage (like the type of product you buy at a dollar store), and it felt waaay lighter than a gadget like that should. The second issue that I had was with the on/off switch. The switch itself seemed cheap, like it would only be a matter of time before it was rendered completely useless. Also, if I turned it off, and realized I had done so prematurely (i.e., I forgot about something I wanted to record), I could not turn it on again right away. I would have to wait about two minutes before it would turn on again. This was simply too annoying! As for me, I'm shipping this baby back and going for the Sony UX512. The review for that product is forthcoming...

I am using this product now for over two weeks. The product packaging, delivery etc., were pretty good. Happy with the seller.The product is excellent for a stereo recording. It has many folders to categorize your recordings into. My only gripe is that once you record it, you cannot listen to your recording on the provided speaker. The volume at its highest setting is bearly audible in public spaces. If you are in a quiet environment still it is not loud enough. The included headphones help.The included NiMH battery saves the environment and is re-chargeable. So far I am yet to re-charge this battery after its initial 8hr charging. Overall I like this product, except that if you need to listen, please use a computer to listen to.
