Love that I could find a second bowl that fits my Kitchen Aid perfectly. (And also loved the sale price!) I use it so much it's hard to remember how I functioned for so many years with only one bowl. You won't regret it!

We purchased this mixing bowl to replace the standard, smaller/handle-less one that came with our standard KitchenAid. And after almost a year of frequent use, I'm happy to say that this thing is fantastic.I've seen some reviews say that it stops "locking" into their KitchenAid, since the bottom started wearing out over time and the bowl would no longer stay in place on the stand mixer. I haven't had this problem whatsoever, it still tightens into my machine and untightens with ease. The handle is really convenient and it's very easy to clean since it's stainless steel. The extra space compared to our previous bowl (which I believe was 4.5 quarts) is wonderful, ingredients like flour don't fly around nearly as much as they used to. If you need a larger bowl for your stand mixer, this is a great one to get. It's exactly as durable and effective as I'd expect from KitchenAid.

Like some have found, the glass bowl can break and this is a genuine replacement for a Kitchen Aid 5KSM156. This will fit other models but do check as there small differences. Note this will not fit on the larger artisan/commercial mixer, which has a different fitting.Fitted onto the 5KSM156 mixer base and twists in easily to lock.Pictures of the packaging and base provided to allow compare for any copy or pattern replacements.Hopefully the stainless steel bowl will last the lifetime of the mixer.
