Great buy
I cant say that it is as good as some of the kitchen aid mixers i have used, and it certainly does not do as good as my kitchenaid stand mixer, but it is very good and mixing things up.It is relatively quiet, and smoothe. though i feel like it bounces a lot, but i dont know if that is just how i am holding it.The style is a bit ugly with the retro jet looking silver vent on the front, but otherwise it doesnt look too bad.I will never purchase one of the super cheap "sunbeam" or other off brand again though, as they tent to loose a lot of power and even get messed up and the blades start hitting into each other if you are mixing thicker things. Also the wire type heads are so much better than the wide flat ones that come with the cheap-o products.I also bought a couple of other optional heads as this one came only with the standard mixer heads. One cool thing that was a nice extra is that the chord is on a nice swiveling attachment, so that it doesnt get in the way all the time like it does on other ones.Overall this is a great buy for the money, it was not too much more than the cheap ones you buy at walmart, but it is a good brand, and it seems to be built well.UPDATE:I am updating and lowering my rating a bit now that i have used the mixer for a couple months.First off, i feel the location, size and style of the silve intake hole on the front of the mixer is just terrible. it sticks out a lot, making it very hard to try and mix while adding more ingredients to your recipe without accidentally pooring whatever you are mixing right into the intake hole, this is especuially akward when mixing in a depper mixing bowl. I have already dumped a bunch of liquid into there by accident, even while trying to be careful. luckily the machine hasnt broken yet, but it did make some crazy noises.Sencondly, the mixer is a bit shkey, and i think that the heads and or spinners are a bit unballanced. As you mix it spits stuff out all over the place even when on low seed, and even in a tall mixing bolw, i litterally always have to clean up my walls after mixing anything liquid with it. Also if you are in contact with the bottom of the bowl it is very shakey in wour hand and that is more just annoying than anything else.Again i did take one star off because of these issues, i would still recommend the device to a friend, because of the price, and how well it mixes even very thick things, but i am certainly missing my Kitchen-aid stand mixer that i have in storage in another state.

LOVE IT! WORKS GREAT!
Our 20+ year hand mixer had plastic beaters which finally broke one day while I was making cream cheese dip so the search was on to find a replacement and of course I turned to amazon.com, my VERY VERY FAVORITE place to shop!Who would have thought there were so many choices for something as simple as an electronic hand mixer? So I searched and searched and read reviews and it seemed most complaints were that the low speed wasn't really low. I more or less settled on the Cuisinart CHM-3R Electronic Hand Mixer 3-Speed, Red but was concerned about how it would mix cream cheese. I am grateful that Amazon now offers a potential buyer the option to ask questions to previous buyers so I posted the question on how this mixer worked mixing cream cheese. Thank you to all of those who responded to me! I liked the fact that this mixer has stainless beaters as I'd read reviews of some others where the buyer claimed the chrome was coming off. I also liked the shape of the beaters, the fact that, being left-handed, this mixer had the left/right "swinging" cord, and an ejector button to release the beaters. In fact, I love EVERYTHING about this mixer!I took the plunge and ordered this mixer and boy, am I glad I did! I have only used it twice to date, and used it to mix cream cheese for the chip dip I make. Let me tell you, this mixer is AWESOME! I'm not sure what the complaints are about the low speed not truly being low, and splattering your stuff all over the place as I have not had that problem at all. (Maybe the user is not placing the beaters down in the bowl deep enough or using a too small bowl in the first place?) My hubby and me both like the finished product - the dip turns out nice and creamy and he stated it even tastes better!Hubby wasn't thrilled about having a red mixer but I asked him what difference did it make - it's going to be in a cupboard unless we're using it? When it arrived, I told him the red color looks to me more like a reddish-burgandy then a true red and he had to agree. So, it does actually compliment our kitchen which is done in burgandy accents.I would highly recommend this hand mixer to anyone that is needing a replacement!

Too powerful on the lowest settings
I bought this mixer with a full knowledge of the speed issue. Like other reviews said, even on the lowest speed it is still too powerful. I thought I wouldnt care, since I had mixer similar to this one years ago, but I guess I cook more now than before and unfortunately the speed is a problem, even with my biggest mixing bowl. I just bought a very tall mixing bowl, will see how it works. Other than the speed issue, I like the product a lot: the weight, the color and the ease of use. One thing is for sure: it beats the whites to rock solid in no time! :)UPDATE: my mixer wont hold the beaters anymore, so it is time for another mixer. This time I called Cuisinart, Kitchen Aid and Hamilton Beach and asked about the speed on the lowest settings: Cusinart is variable 750-890RPM, Kitchen Aid is 575 RPM and Hamilton Beach did not have the specifications on this, other than telling me that the difference between first speed and second speed is at least 70rpm. I might go with HB new mixer with pulse option, as it specifically says the lowest sped is designed for less mess and greater control.

robustesse
Cet appareil est un peu décevant car il est très bruyant et les alluchons pourraient avoir plus de rigidité. Cependant le moteur est robuste. Malgré tout, il demeure un instrument adéquat pour mélanger.
