Motorcraft Spout

Works well with Peak Blue Def 2.5 gal jugs.

I typically fill up DEF at the pumps, but occasionally fill up from the boxes. Some of them will drip a little, however, the boxes usually leak where the nozzle screws onto the jug so the DEF gets on my hands. Also, the pumps sometimes overfill the tank, which then spills out onto the side of the truck. So, I figured I would give this MC Spout a try. The claim is that it won't overfill and it shouldn't leak... although I have heard that some jugs don't fit well. I guess I will see... but, it would be nice if they would include these with the jugs of DEF.

Motorcraft used to supply this nozzle with their DEF containers, once upon a time. If you use Motorcraft DEF, the only other option now is to use a funnel to fill your tank. And this is a messy operation! As you are sure to overfill the tank every time! Leaving behind the white flakey spillage on the side of your truck.As stated in other reviews, this nozzle eliminates all of this, as it stops filling once the DEF Tank is full. Another important reason why you should keep this nozzle on hand is it prevents any residual DEF in the fill line to the tank. This is especially important in the Winter months because DEF will freeze at 12*F. The DEF Tank is heated. However the fill line is not. And it is sure to freeze and crack the fill line. The $8.25 you pay for this nozzle is a lot cheaper than replacing the line to the DEF Tank!You can use this nozzle repeatedly. And it does fit the Blue DEF 2.5 gallon containers. I am not sure if it will fit their larger containers. Nor do I know if it will fit other brands of DEF. I typically only use Motorcraft DEF or Blue in a pinch.This is another tool that you should have in your truck! I would recommend this to anyone that owns a Ford Super Duty which requires DEF.

Used this on a Blue Def 2.5 gal. Bottle. The nozzle leaks where it attaches to the Bottle.

Great except that the washer between the spout and jug is cheap and not designed for multiple use.

Ford got something right, anyway. this cheap filler will snap into your Fords DEF filler and will allow easy fill. When full the fluid stops flowing. Lower the bottle and pop the filler out of the tank opening. NO SPILLS! Rinse it out and save for next time. I ordered it on Tuesday afternoon and received it Wednesday morning. Amazon got it right, this time.

Discovered this OEM Ford part on the Turbo Diesel Forum online community, a community of Ram Diesel truck owners. Maybe the best $10 I ever spent. This nozzle is properly vented, unlike the freebie nozzles that come with a box of DEF. It also has a gasket between the truck filler and the nozzle so no more gusher of DEF on the paint if you try to put 3 gallons of DEF into a tank with only 2 gallons capacity remaining.Even comes with a re-closeable plastic bag for storage.Buy it!

This has a Motorcraft (Ford) part number, but I use it on my 2018 Mercedes Sprinter. I had to trim about 3/4" off the end of the plastic pour spout to get the seal to fit against the neck of the DEF tank. The front of my 4x4 Sprinter is up there, so this really helps to get the fluid safely and neatly into the filler neck with no spilling, no splashing or over-filling. I have used it several times now with excellent results, no problems, and find it to be very helpful in avoiding spills. Recommended!
