Great quality katana, great price.
This katana is very high quality for its price range. It is entirely described and advertised EXCEPT for the tsuba. The tsuba is not iron or steel as it does not react to a magnet at all. My guess is that it is a zinc or aluminum alloy. Not a big problem for me, but some discerning collectors might prefer a different katana or plan on replacing the tsuba. At this price, I am happy to purchase a steel tsuba for $20.00 and put it on myself. The full tang blade truly is a work of art. It is sturdy, well-balanced, sharp, and beautifully polished. The handle is wood with real ray skin and cotton wrappings instead of imitation silk. Very happy with the purchase.
