The fact that it was so sheer and lightweight but so very warm

A magical thermal vest which is delicate and SO WARM! I have worn thermal vests(camisoles?) before and persevered with them but I ended up often feeling bulky or even fat (I am only a size 10!). This is by far the warmest and feels so lovely on. There is plenty of stretch and "give" in it so it fits snug but doesn't feel tight; in fact you forget you're wearing it. I love how beautifully fine it is and the thin straps and edging are stretchy too so nothing feels tight or uncomfortable. The length is great too as it is long enough to keep all of your back warm and fine enough to tuck inside jeans and skirts. I am so impressed that I am buying more for myself and my daughters. I bought the small for myself and shall buy the same size for my girls who are size 10 and size 12. This is what a thermal vest or camisole should be like and not one of those thick and fluffy things that just bulk you up. Treat yourself and you'll be back for another!

I am always hoping to find a natural fibre camisole which has built in support without being a 'control' garment. There seems to be nothing on the market which fits this description. Shelf bras don't really do it. Someone needs to develop a camisole where the bust is supported simply by clever fabric technology. That's just a plea to Smart Merino if they read these reviews. Aside from that it is lovely quality merino: very soft and smooth; not to heavyweight. I have lots of merino wear and the quality of this piece is right up there. The reversible neckline choice is a great idea.

I am extremely pleased with the lightness, quality and warmth of this merino camisole vest. I am a big fan of the heat regulating properties of wool and this is my first merino base layer due to the cost; it is definitely worth it for comfort and warmth.

I get itchy skin but not with this! Bought it in black first and although it is pricey, it is to be expected for merino wool. And the fact it is lightweight as well as really cosy, made it a must have! A great base layer ready for the Himalayas and already taken on the freezing weather that the UK threw at us in January and won! So its a no brainer! Buy with confidence!

Lovely quality, fine-feel, lightweight merino wool camisole. True-to-size fit, not too tight, not too loose. Really comfortable to wear in varying temperatures. Cream/ off-white colour is versatile and being pattern-free means that is it more wearable under work shirts. Quality of this offers better value than another, more well-known brand. Have now ordered more! Hope they make t-shirts too...

Quite expensive but I like it and comfy

Only worn 2 days and seams start to fray! Wish I could return for refund. Not recommended.
