Boats Board Book

My four year old has a ton of books, he loves books and being read to but rarely have I seen him so interested in a particular book. He really loves this book, we read it to him three times last night and afterwards he thumbed through it for a half hour or so. The pictures are nice, the text is simple and the book is very captivating for a child. It seems like a good book to start teaching words and reading with.Happy with this purchase. The book is thick card board and sturdy too.I think I'll buy the "Trains" one next.

I bought this for my 20-month old son at the same time I bought three other Byron Barton books ("My Car", "Trains", and "Machines at Work"). This is the least often requested of the four, but my son still enjoys it. In fact, these four books are his four favorite books. The book is typical Byron Barton...bright, colorful pictures and a basic, sensible story. The only reason I think my son doesn't enjoy it as much as the other books is that he has not had any exposure to boats outside of this book. Like I said, though, he still seems to really like it!

i first bought this for my now 13 year old son when he was a year old. he loved all of byron barton's books (machines at work, trucks, planes...) the images are simple but eye catching and the words are somehow poetic to a young child. he memorized and could recite the words to machines at work and trucks at 18 months. we thought we had a child prodigy on our hands! (: byron barton books are what i give to all little ones now, boy or girl.

My 18 month old (28 years old now)…loved Machines at Work so much he had to sleepWith it every night!!! My now 19 month old grandson —- loves all Byron Barton books too!!! Age —- 0-5 !!!! Haven’t met a kid yet that doesn’t enjoy these books! Books are my passion. Put great books in your children’s hands!!!!!

It names a lot of boats but it does not have a flow to it and the pictures are simple. My daughter really loves reading it though.

This was a gift, but we had Boats when my kids were little. It was my son’s favorite. Minimal words, simplified but recognizable shapes, and bright colors.

The board books are the best for 2 year olds! My son has a collection of all of these books by Byron Barton. Very cute and simple.

If you have a kid that likes boats, this is a cute and simple book. One sentence per page flip. Shows a bunch of different boats, ending on a cruise ship showing people going on vacation. The illustrations are bright, bold, and cute.
