These are not recipes. Example: beef tacos-ground beef, taco seasoning mix, water.Same as the $1.00 taco mix seasoning packet instructions. I looked at 10 recipes, many were like this. Tostadas, same kind of instructions. Embarrassing.

This book was ok, but I felt he was more interested in discussing the region and its history than writing recipes. There were very few recipes in there you couldn't get off of any google search for Tex-Mex or Mexican food. They did have a few good mole recipes.

I bought this for my little sister who is really into attempting to cook Mexican cuisine. I looked through it before I gave it to her and I was really happy with the quality of the cookbook. The recipes all looked delicious and fairly easy to follow.

this cookbook is without a doubt one of the BEST EVER. It is full of useful information about everything from ingredients, types of cheeses, techniques, and recipes are conveniently labeled 'kid friendly' 'crowd pleasing' 'gluten free' etc. In many cookbooks, I will only find a few usable recipes, and the rest I won't bother with. This cookbook as SO MANY great recipes that are indeed easy that I am thrilled, and I have been a mexican food home chef for years! Thank you for this cookbook, and I highly recommend it. No photos and hard to find ingredients. If you don't know what the dish should look like, it's hard to put it together.And recipes call for some ingredients that I can't find in our store. Otherwise, lots of interesting and possibly delicious recipes if you already know about Mexican food.

I like this book, it has a lot of different Mexican dishes to offer. A wide variety of dishes, and this book makes it simple if you've never cooked Mexican before. Learn what real Mexican food is supposed to taste like, not what you think it should. Try this book, I like it, and so will you.

arBorn and raised in California, I'm a huge fan of Mexican food. I can cook most dishes by remembering the taste and re-creating them as best I can, but there are times when I want something more. I found it in this book. Boy, are these some tasty recipes. It's renewed my enjoyment of cooking new foods from a region I thought I'd exhausted.

I have made several of the mains, sides, sauces, beverages, and desserts from this cookbook and everything I have made has been delicious (see photos). Had fun making some fun shapes with the churros recipe.

I suspect I know how this book came about. Somebody googled sixty Mexican recipes and copied and pasted them into a layout. The recipes I have made so far aren't even as good as the standard versions, and take absolutely ages to do. Save yourself £11.33 and just google recipes yourself.
