PGYTECH OSMO Pocket/OSMO Pocket 2 Phone Holder(Upgraded Version), Made of All Aluminum Alloy, Spring Clamp Design, with 1/4”-20 Thread Hole, Cold Shoe

I bought this to be able to use my iPhone to better frame my videos, and to offer better access to controls than the camera by itself. With the 1/4"x20 thread and cold shoe, it can be mounted on a monopod, tripod, etc. easily. The metal construction is amazing, it folds down to fit in a pocket, and it holds both the phone and Pocket 2 securely. I'd highly recommend this to anyone, it will enhance your experience with your Pocket 2 immensely!

I love this product, with one concern. I wish I could give it 4 3/4 stars.First the positive. It's top-notch quality, alloy aluminum, solidly built, and the folding feature makes it easy to store and carry. It holds my iPhone 8 Plus in an Apple silicone case very snuggly and supports the Osmo Pocket, although not quite as snuggly. It's a bit difficult to line up the connector and move the phone into it -- because it holds the phone so snuggly.Here's my concern. Because it folds and has a hinge, the part holding the Pocket can fold backward when the phone is attached, potentially breaking off the connector in the phone. The hinge is fairly stiff but it could easily happen accidentally. Of course this could also happen when not using the bracket at all, anytime the Pocket and phone are connected. I suppose the bracket makes it a little less likely. It would have been great if PGYTech could have put some kind of simple limiter so that it can't swing backward. It only needs to swing forward to fold.

Overall this is a well designed and well made product. It is slightly cumbersome installing the phone and camera and mating them up, but not too bad. Once they're in place, everything feels solid and secure. My only complaint is the weight, I wish they had a plastic version. When you're backpacking every ounce counts and this weighs as much as the camera.

My only complaint is that it’s a little too stiff on the hinge, but honestly you’d want that over being too loose. So it’s less a complaint and more of an observation. Otherwise this is a great piece of equipment to have. I recommend using it with a grip of some sort or a tripod.

I received the product today. the concept is great it's just that if your cell phone is in a case it does not fit properly. I have an iPhone encased in an Apple case and the opening on the phone holder opens far enough but clamp itself is not wide enough to accommodate the width of the phone in the case. It's hold's the phone okay but at a slight angle because the case does not fit properly. Because of the this angle when you connect the DJi pocket 2 using the phone adapter the camera holder does not hold the camera properly to make a good connection and to solve this problem you have to leave off the camera holder. It will work it you make some corrections.

This is a very clever design and securely holds my Osmo Pocket to my iPhone XS. Makes using Osmo Pocket more enjoyable not having to worry about over torquing the lightning port. The iPhone is held in place by a spring loaded bracket. Its well made and sturdy. Holds the phone tightly in place. Finding the right alignment with the Osmo can be a little tricky on first use. This not a criticism. For me it took a couple shoots to get comfortable and faster on the setup. Bottom line I completely trust my iPhone and Osmo Pocket are secure.

Segurança no uso do Osmo Pocket com o celular. Adaptação total sem prejudicar os contatos. Bastante portátil, para transporte cabe em qualquer tipo de bolso.

Is works as advertised, fits perfectly whit the pocket 2. It grips very well annd the pocket 2 don't falls. You can add a 1/4 tripod or pole at the bottom and works great

Ich habe mir die Halterung für meinen Osmo Pocket in Verbindung mit meinem Huawei P30 pro zugelegt und diese Kombination passt perfekt. Stabil, wertig und sicherer Halt. Das Einsetzen der Geräte geht gut von der Hand, ist aber vielleicht nichts für Grobmotoriker. Man hat aber schnell raus, wie es am einfachsten geht. Es steht auch in der Beschreibung hier, dass das eine Halterung für die Pocket ist. Von der Pocket 2 steht da nichts. Von daher verstehe ich einige Bewertungen hier nicht, die sich die für die Pocket 2 besorgt haben und sich nun darüber wundern, das es nicht passt. Die Abmessungen sind zwar ähnlich aber nicht gleich.
