A micro-nutrient gardening additive for my tomatoes!
As a Master Gardener (yes, I took the 3 month course in 2008), I am always looking for ways to improve my gardening techniques and results. So, this spring, when I planted my 26 tomato seedlings of various varieties, I added a mixture of this volcanic ash, powdered seaweed and lobster compost (for calcium; to prevent blossom end rot). I even added two aspirin per very deep hole. I planted the tomatoes deep, removing the leaves that would otherwise be buried. Roots will form all along the stem and allow the plant to pull out more nutrition/moisture from the soil. I learned this from a nursery man over 50 years ago. So, let's see what my experiment yields over the next few months. Maybe I can update this review with pictures. Just have to figure out how to do that! I gave everything 5 stars in spite of it being too early for the results. I am also expecting this ash to provide the many micro nutrients necessary for wonderful tasting tomatoes! Win-win!

I was happy to find this. I am using it for raised vegetable beds. I need to eat high quality, high nutrition, organic food, so buy organic soil mix to fill my beds, till I can use just the compost I am making for soil. Many garden bed or potting soils do not have an abundance of usable minerals in them. Or the plants use up much of the minerals after a few plantings. This is true even of the organic vegetables you buy. Many do not have a high quantity of minerals, which one needs for better health. High mineral intake is very important to improve or have good health. So it is important to keep ammending the soil with more nutrients. I do use other things such as granular kelp, some green manure and composted chicken manure. And now Azomite rock dust.I use less than what was suggested on the package, but also add it in water and apply with a sprinkling can when I water in other things such as the kelp.

I got to be honest there's a part of me that when I opened this out of the package felt like wow I just paid for a bag of ashes that I could have got from outback out of the fireplace but these are volcanic and they're not from the fireplace what's well-packaged american-made looks solid I got to be honest I haven't used it yet but it looks solid to the trained eye ๐

Good treatment for troubled garden!
Wasnโt really sure because it is our first attempt at a garden in containers! So to start of we had yellowing leaves, we were soil testing, trying to stay ahead of the bug situation, and trying to do everything organically as possible. So with the struggle out of way lets talk about the the difference within two days of putting the azomite sprinkled on the top of the soil. The plants started to green up and the little baby cucumbers, squash and tomatoes jolted within a week. My alkaline soil balanced out and my plants are doing wonderful now. I believe that it has worked amazingly and would recommend this stuff to anyone who is trying to grow a garden.

Great for growing vegetables.
I add azomite to my soil every year when I get my garden beds ready for planting. This adds lots of minerals to the soil so my vegetables are great looking but more importantly really healthy for my family. I use this along with worm castings and kelp meal to supplement my soil. I also fertilize with hydrolyzed liquid fish. The azomite helps me to grow really healthy organic vegetables. I recommend this product and the seller.
