Atharva 100% Pure Unrefined Raw SHEA BUTTER, 1 Pound

This stuff is lovely.I use this for various items, I make lotions, hair conditioners, skin soothers and deodorant for myself and family.It came tightly sealed plastic bag and though it did originally smell at first once set out for a bit it dulls and when mixed with items it's gone. The smell was NOT Chemical, burnt or rancid like others have mentioned, it was a strange earthy smell, my boyfriend said it smelled like goat but that seemed to mostly be the bag rather than the butter. Again after a little while it was gone. If you get one that smells like that, something is wrong try to exchange it. Now after some time it has the slightest lightly sweet smell to it that you'd hardly notice.It's a strange texture right out of the package but once you warm it to either mix it smooths out nicely. My boyfriend is a big fan for his scalp as am I and his dry skin with mixed with coconut oil. If the texture really bothers you melt it down and put it into another container, oddly it smoothed out and felt much better after that.

It took a while to get here, but that is more a function of the Post Office than the seller. When the item arrived, it was in excellent condition and was one solid block of shea butter. The color was ivory and smelled fresh. I weighed it and unlike other reviews, the weight came in at 1.1 pounds. I have no complaints.I am storing the product in my refrigerator, as I purchased other shea butter when this shipment was delayed. I will be using it to make hand creams for family members. I am pleased with this purchase and will buy again in the future.

I can't say enough positive things about this Shea Butter!! This is my second purchase and it has been very consistent. Some people are negative about the method of packaging, but that is the least important aspect of this product. It is smooth, free from hard granuals and has a very mild smell. I have oily skin on my face that is acne prone and this is a wonderful moisturizer for it. I have noticed that my fine lines have plumped up and my skin has a nice glow to it. It adds much needed moisture, I've found that my skin is less oily after using this consistently and I don't break out from it. I also use this as a year round body moisturizer and it is so protective on your skin in all weather conditions.. I haven't burnt from the sun while using this product and it keeps my skin nice and supple in the harsh winter weather as well.

I bought this Shea butter for various uses. I sent my son home with a jar of it I filled myself. He has severe Psoriasis and we have tried so many different things to manage it. He does not want to take the drugs, injections, and medicated creams. He wants to manage it naturally. He has used it for 2 weeks now and has seen a major difference. He uses it at night. He puts it on and puts his sweats and long sleeve shirt on and goes to sleep. When he wakes up his skin is not flaking and not red and sore. Some areas such as his knees have completely healed. I recommend this to anyone suffering from Psoriasis or severely dry skin. I use it daily and my skin feels amazing.

This has helped increase the integrity of my skin. I also use it as a pomade. It absorbs into the skin well. I melt a small amount between my palms to soften the butter and apply to wherever I needed it. It is gentle enough to use for my toddler, but we do not have but allergies so I can't speak for the safety of this product for those who have these allergies. For pets, this has been great on my lhasa apso's hair as well as his paws. I've noticed that this butter has been helpful for wound healing as well as taming eyebrows. You may be able to these things with other shea butters, however, but this particular one worked well enough for my family and me.

OK. If you are buying to to use as lotion or cooking and you have never seen unrefined raw this will freak you out. It comes in large greasy chunks. DO NOT PANIC. There are many options you have. Melt it in the microwave to remold it, whip it in a high volume mixer, or just rub it on as is. I personally like to melt it and mix it with extra virgin coconut oil to make it more spreadable. I have extremely dry skin, as in it dries and cracks to the point of bleeding. It is hard to find moisturizers that do not contain alcohol or other crap I do not need on my skin, so I make my own out of this and it works wonderfully!

This is just what I needed after an ugly surgery left me with some big scars on my tummy. They look so much better after applying she’s butter and soft skin, whoa, I do not stop at applying just to the scars, rub it all over.This is solid, so you need to pinch off a piece and rub it in your hand to soften. It’s all natural, so the smell takes a little getting used to, but it works great!

I used this raw shea butter, along with a mixture of mango butter and a number of oils, to make a whipped hair butter and I LOVE it. My daughter’s hair has always been extremely dry and no matter what I do to it, it never seems to retain moisture. Since I started using the whipped butter her hair is MUCH better off. This shea butter is legit and I have no complaints at all. Would purchase again and again!

I bought this to start making my own creams and eventhough it was my first time, I'm very happy with the Shea and the cream that I made. recommended!!I hope the seller start selling Larger quantity packages for a better price.

Fabulous for my rough and scaly skin. Softens and heals my cracks. My cracks are painful and bleed. The creme softens extremely quick and soaks in within a few minutes, with no greasy residue. It also protects from chemicals when I paint, and when I groom my dogs with soap and water. Best price on Amazon, worth every penny.

Good value. Just wish I could buy this in a 2kg or more package.
