Video Studio Pro
Bought it to transfer some video from a DV Tape onto a DVD, I managed that OK without to much trouble.Now to get to grip with the many other features.

AWFUL COMPANY AND AWFUL SOFTWARE. AVOID AT ALL COSTS.
complete waste of money. software crashes the verry moment you attempt to work on a clip of ANY SIZE. support is awful and all they want to do is to sell you the "upgraded" version and completely ignore the issues you have been having . when you do get to a "real" support agent they blame the issues on your system no matter how high end it is its always your systems fault. Avoid at all costs. they refuse al refund requests no matter how much they try to fix the issues you have. your better off using movie maker as this software is worthless and not even worth trying if it was free.

Recommended video editing software
I have used successive iterations of this software since Ulead VideoStudio 11. The functionality has improved in various respects, but it has become bloated with features that I never use. Any video editing software takes you on a substantial learning curve, but VideoStudio is fairly easy to get started. The output is great. I would certainly recommend this programme to keen beginners and intermediate users.
