Acuknee Knee Pain Treatment System (OTC)

Still early days, I've only been using it for 2 weeks, but there has definitely been a reduction in pain.

I have had ongoing OA issues for sometime now and I finally reached a point where I would try anything. My left knee has already had a meniscus tear, subsequent surgery and then a 2nd surgery this past Feb/2014. After which I have been in unbearable pain and that is when I found the AcuKnee online. The website was very clear that this device was very impactful for those with mild to moderate discomfort and even though I'm in serious pain, w/complicated OA issues, I purchased the device anyway. After 30 days of use, I did feel a great deal of relief for several hours after each use--I could walk up/down stairs with out the pain. I have to use it everyday due to how serious my condition is and this is very frustrating. My frustrations reached a boiling point when I ran out of supplies and attempted to contact Dr. Martin Brown about this, but I had bad information and thus he never got my messages. I regrettably went online and wrote an inappropriate review and he then reached out to me offering a full refund but, he also wanted to discus my specific situation, feeling there was something wrong with the symptoms I described. I am blown away by his medical professionalism. He was not concerned or focused on what I wrote but more concerned with why my pain and OA seemed to be accelerating so rapidly. He gave me several pieces of advice, reading material and we had a good long conversation about what could be causing this and what my options are. It literally felt like I was sitting in a doctors office going through my medical history! He put me in touch with a colleague in the Pittsburgh area who specializes in this and who will be treating me in the near future. What blows me away is the time and effort Dr. Brown made with me today. By giving me his personal contact info, encouraging me to contact him, spending the amount of time he did reviewing my history and then ensuring that I was getting treatment from someone he respects... its above and beyond as far as I'm concerned. 3 separate Ortho specialists treated me since 2005 and NONE have done a fraction of what he's already done today. This device may help you esp. if your dealing with mild to severe uncomplicated OA & THEY have successfully treated thousands of people; but you won't know until you try IT, but one thing is for sure - if you have any issues whatsoever, this company and this doctor are TRUE PROFESSIONALS. Its not about sales and P&L to them - Dr. Brown continues to practice anesthesiology and pain management full time so selling these wraps is not funding a vacation home. He truly has a passion for helping people and personally I am blown away and deeply touched by his commitment. I can count on 1 hand how many other companies have reached out to me like this and tried to resolve an issue, and NONE of them went this far to help me like he has. I RECOMMEND THIS PRODUCT AND DR. BROWN WITHOUT RESERVATION!

Only using the AcuKnee for a little over 3 weeks I cannot say if I'm getting any relief yet or not. I still have pain, inflammation, and swelling after having a right knee replacement on 7/28/2015 and a manipulation to break the scar tissue so I could bend my knee on 11/18/2015. This has been a very slow healing procedure and I wanted to try the AcuKnee out of desperation. I am hoping it will speed up my progress so I can walk again without pain.

Ok so im gonna make this quick and easy. I had menisectomy bout 7 months ago. When I started getting back into serious workout my knee was giving me weid pains(Arthritis). Got a cortizone shot and it lasted bout 3 months. Started swimming, bought a knee brace, and began my own therapy. Started getting better and then it started getting worse. I bought the Acuknee. Been using it for about 2 weeks now.Pros:Started working instantly after first use. Its like a more powerful tens machine.Therapy and work was normal and I believed I was almost back to normal.Cons:I believed I was at about 90% recovery so I stopped to see if my knee would remain in that state. MAN WAS I F#&$@!G WRONG. 3rd day off the acuknee treatment, at work as a armed messenger, my knee started killing me and the pain was even stronger than before treatment. Came home and ran on grass and I was in pain after. The nerve in my knee was like a heartbeat. Slapped the acuknee brace on and did half an hour and pain was halfway gone. I deploy for National Guard in 2 months and I can't soley rely on the acuknee. Thing goes out of commission ima fail the predeployment training OR WORSE be stuck on a desert island in a whooole mess of pain with the humidity.* Some questions are: By masking the pain, how much more damage am I gonna do to my knee???* Is there any form of other treatment I can use to better my knee with the acuknee?* How many years will the acuknee work before my meniscus is completely gone and its like bone on bone? Im pretty sure it wont mask that pain.

I should have returned it but I kept it,once you set it, does not maintain that setting you have to keep adjusting the settings.

After a few weeks of using the Acuknee System, I can honestly say that it does in fact give relief to my long standing knee pain. About three months ago, I had PRP treatment on my knee, and that did give me some relief, and now by using the Acuknee System 3-4 times a week, I definitely can do things I was unable to do just months ago. I know it is not a cure to my degenerative ostearthritis in my knee, but it does make my life easier. The unit is relatively easy to set up; the 30 minute routine can be done while one is sitting or lying down. I use it while at my computer. The results work gradually and after a few treatments I found that I forgot about pain in my knee. I would have given the Acuknee 5 stars if the pain did not return in a few days, but if I use it every other day or so, It keeps the pain at bay... so 4 star rating.

I am very happy with the AcuKnee. I'm awaiting knee surgery and wondered how I could get through the next two months because of the pain I was suffering. The day before my AcuKnee arrived I simply stepped off a curb and was hit with such pain I nearly fell over. Four days later, after using the AcuKnee each day, I was able to go down 24 steps without a twinge. I would have given the product five stars except that I had difficulty understanding the manual that came with it. Potential buyers should beware that the manual is full of inaccuracies and contradictions. The good news is that if you call the company the receptionist, Greg, is very helpful and one of the doctors who designed the product even called me personally to explain that they were in the process of revising the manual. Don't hesitate to call them; they're very eager to help.
