Perfect with one small problem. ***Update***
This is without a doubt the best off camera flash I've ever used, so I'm not trying to bash it at all. I'm 95% satisfied.-5% because I'm unable to turn off the over heat protection. When I'm using these flashes on the same channel as my second shooter we can easily trip the over heat protection shooting at 1/16th and even 1/32 power. We're not shooting that heavily, and when I pop out the battery to reset the overheat protection the battery is not at all hot. My canon 580ex's never had a problem with over heating at the rate and power levels my second shooter and I shoot at. I have a friend who does not have this problem with his tt850's, but it happens to both of my units. Now my second shooter uses her own set of flashes on a different channel and I don't trigger the overheat protection shooting with them by myself.***UPDATE*** The problem was with a bad battery and not over heat protection. The flash was shutting down because the battery was dying and being screwey. I had to order 4 replacement batteries before finally getting a good set (battery #5 and #6.) The bad battery problem seems to have been fixed by neewer. Order away! Changed rating from 4 stars to 5 stars.

Battery is complete crap and inability to use doubles is actually a negative
This flash feels to be as useful and as well put together as my old Canon 580EX ii. It has the added benefit of supporting a rechargeable battery and being easier to operate. Looking forward to trying out the Neewer wireless trigger for it soon.Revised review: I have changed my overly positive feedback from a 5 to a 1 for the following reason: At first this flash with rechargeable battery seemed to good to be true. I was willing to pay a bit more for a rechargeable battery, but quickly I noticed how short the battery life was. In fact I don't think I have ever been able to use the system for more than 45-50 shots. If I charge it and don't use it right away it completely drains. Ultimately this leaves me with no confidence and I will not just buy a replacement battery. Neewer is obviously selling an inferior battery with this unit or is not doing good quality control. I had owned several of the Yongnuo branded flashes and found them to be perfectly reliable. What should be a strength of this Neewer flash turns out to be it's greatest weakness. The benefit of being able to use the smaller wireless triggers is nice, but you can't buy extra receivers from Neewer. I can't recommend this product at this time.Update: Neewer actually sent me a replacement battery. I have not had a chance to test it out yet, but I will report back. In the mean time I will bump up my review from a 1 to a 2 for good customer service (in my experience).

The biggest strength is the biggest weakness.
The biggest positive of this flash is also the biggest negative - the battery. Theoretically it should provide 650 full power pops, with 1.5 seconds in between. Just amazing! The reality is that Godox (the maker of this flash) hasn't figured out how to provide reliable functioning batteries. The first tt850 I got had a battery that would go dead overnight, just sitting on a table. Fortunately I noticed right before the 30-day return window. I thought, what's the chance of that happening again? So I bought another one. This battery would hold its charge for several days. But it would be dead after a couple weeks of no to little use. Which is annoying. But otherwise seemed OK, until I decided to stress test it. I measured the voltage after every 20 full power 24mm pops, until it died. Which happened after 135 pops. Ugh.12.0 volts to start20: 11.8540: 11.7560: 11.6580: 11.58100: 11.48120: 11.29135: 10.94 (dead)Some chatter on photo forums suggests that if your battery starts at 12.4 volts after a full charge you are OK. If you have a voltmeter, I suggest you pull it out and check your battery.Everything else though, is great. The built in trigger gives you "HSS" with not much effort. Remote power controls is amazing. The UI is well designed. The build quality is solid. But if you can't have reliable power, none of that matters.Update 1: Contacted Neewer for warranty service - they say that the seller is responsible for any problems. Fortunately I bought the flash from Amazon itself and they are replacing the flash, even though I'm outside the return window. I'll update again with how the third (!) battery performs.Update 2: Third battery is also sub-par. Results below. I'll try contacting Neewer again to see if they will send me a "new" battery themselves, as it looking like Amazon has a bad stock.11.78 to start20: 11.6440: 11.91 (not a typo)60: 11.8380: 11.78100: 11.72120: 11.68140: 11.61160: 11.56180: 11.51200: 11.46220: 11.42240: 11.36260: 11.32280: 11.27300: 11.20320: 11.15340: 11.05360: 10.80365: 10.25 (dead)Recharged it and it went to 11.9. After 24 hours sitting around doing nothing, 11.7.

Great idea, question the quality. UPDATE: April
Bought 2 units. One arrived with a dead battery that would not charge so returned both units for replacement. Received the replacement units and same story. In both order the batteries were a very tight fir going into the battery compartment on the flash units. I had to actually pry one to get it out, the battery eject mechanism did not work very well. Sent both those units back for a refund, waiting for the credit to appear on my account.Too bad the L-Ion battery is a great idea and I liked the remote trigger set-up. I might try ordering again in a few months in the hope that the battery problem gets fixed.Waited a month or so and re-ordered. Everything working now, batteries and charger working as I expect they should. Flash has lots of power, the rigger system is great which is the reason I purchased these in the first place. The ability to adjust power on the flash units without having to go to them is wonderful/ Only complaint is the dials on the receivers are a little tricky to lock into the right channel, but I'm getting used to it.All in all, very happy with these units now.

Couldn't even try the flash so far
Just wrote to manufacturer/seller. Batter hard to insert and retrieve from flash on the first try. Charged the battery and store it for future use. Last night battery looked thicker and didn't work, so tried to charge it again and after a few hours the battery case opened itself because of the pressure of the expanded content rendering the battery useless.

Awesome for price ultimately
This is the second NEEWER TT850 I had purchased from this seller and from Amazon.ca -- unfortunately this one was received with a defective battery. It wouldn't connect to the charger (either from this unit or my other identical one) nor would it connect to power this unit (or my other one). Amazon was FANTASTIC and took the item back as a one-time-only return after their normal 30 day window. As for performance of this flash though -- the one I have owned for over a year is fantastic and the power output is phenomenal with recycle time. I do believe that the battery should last longer though as I am a wedding photographer and it will run out of power just before a ceremony ends and that's running around 1/8 or 1/4 power through a 3-4 timeframe. :( Wish the batteries were a reasonable price to buy more as they do charge very quickly (<2h to fully charged). Overall I'll replace the one I returned and probably buy a third, if nothing else to have the extra batteries and chargers around, doesn't hurt to have the additional units too. Still essentially 3 speedlights for the price of a single "big brand name" unit!!

Great flash, horrible battery quality assurance
Great flash, but the battery was dead on arrival, as was the extra battery I ordered, and the battery they sent to replace the dead one. Now I have to ship three faulty batteries back and wait for a fourth to arrive. These flashes are amazing when they have a working battery, so I will keep trying to get some working batteries as I own 3 flashes with four working batteries and they perform very well.

Bought three separate times and didn't work
Bought this flash 3 separate times and every time something different was defective. The first time the flash didn't turn on when the battery was fully charged. The second time the battery swelled up and would barely fit inside the flash without having to force it in and pry it out with something. The third time the charger wouldn't even charge the battery at all. I would not recommend this flash to anybody unless they're willing to take they're chances and get the odd one that actually works. My friend has the same flash and his works perfectly. Wish NEEWER would be more consistent with their product.
