Fun and practical
First off, I have to say that this cookie jar is smaller than I expected. However, you can still easily fit a hand in, so it's OK. Visually it's fun to look at.I think the UFO theme is a fun idea, although most people seem to interpret it as a hat. Either way, it works. You do have to be a bit careful when replacing the lid, as both the cork lid and the thin glass edge are sensitive to excess pressure.
