Does what it's supposed to do, easy to set up, reasonably priced.
This Rocketfish wireless speaker adapter kit does exactly what it's supposed to do. Out of the box it's very straightforward to hook up, and worked for me the first time without any issues. My satellite speakers aren't the highest fidelity speakers out there, so I don't know how the sound would be with very high end speakers - but for my purpose I hear no difference between my hard-wired front speakers and the wireless rears. There is a volume adjustment on the receiver which is nice, but most surround receivers will allow you to adjust the level of each speaker anyway, so you might not even need it. But nice that it's there. Overall, this system works well and gave me the ability to hook up my rear speakers without needing to make holes and snake wires through my finished basement, which would have been a pain. I would recommend.

Works Great
I moved into a new house and don't have a good way to run speaker cable to the rear channels of the media room and didn't want to run thru the ceiling if I could avoid it. Got this setup to go wireless for the rears and it works great. Super easy to wire up and the transmitter and receiver synched with each other right away. The units are about 14 feet apart, not directly facing each other and there is a big coffee table between them - I'm pretty impressed. My amp has a sound calibration sensor that I set up in the middle of the room to balance the channels. It calibrated spot-on on the first cycle - so assuming zero lag. I've tested it with TV shows, sports, DVDs and a variety of different music - low to loud volume. It all sounds just as good as when I had my rear speakers hard-wired. Glad I found this little set-up!

works as described!
Pros:I had no trouble setting this up.I have no issues with sound quality - though I switched my home network to 802.11n just in case, since folks were complaining of interference.Cons:The speaker cable provided was way too short but thankfully I had some laying around.Sound volume - it can only be set statically on the rear receiver.. wish there was a way for it to update volume dynamically.

The Boldest Lies Ever Told
I was VERY skeptical about buying this, but took a chance because of all the guarantees of 0 interference from the company itself that are printed directly on the box. Well, it turns out that this actually interferes with EVERYTHING on the 2.4Ghz spectrum. Cell phones, microwaves, and the worst of all...a wireless internet connection.Everything causes interference with the audio signal, which causes the sound to either sound horrible, "crackly," and at times just vanish completely. The deal breaker for me was that it slowed my 20Mbps internet connection down to less-than-dial-up speeds. It got so bad that at times I completely lost my wireless connection. That being said, I had two options:1) Buy a wireless-N router that operates on the 5.6Ghz spectrum (which would also require me to upgrade every wireless connection in my home to avoid interference on the 2.4Ghz spectrume)2) Return this item and get a different wireless audio system that operates at 5.6Ghz.I went with option 2. Granted, both solutions were very pricey, but I ended up with a unit made by Amphony. Difficult to find, but I did manage to find a discontinued model on their website for under $100. It works just fine with almost no interference at all. Occasionally, you here a little buzz when a wireless connection is first established near a speaker, but that initial buzz is it. The biggest issue I have is that the receiver shuts off after about 5 minutes of no sound and when it receives the audio signal, it makes a loud popping sound. It's annoying, but I got used to it. I can deal with it if it means I don't have run wires through my living room.

If running wires just isn't an option, this is a great substitute
My room has vaulted ceilings with a less than 6" drop. The room is 24x13, and the outer walls are heavily insulated. I don't want to tear my carpet up, and the room is too wide for a reasonably priced area rug.If this situation sounds familiar (I.E. - running wires is just simply too hard, or too cost prohibitive), then the Rocketfish Wireless Rear Speaker Kit is for you.I have been using mine for over 2 years now everyday, and I still enjoy it and think it is sufficient for most setups.Audiophiles will disagree, but if you are just a movie lover, or a novice home theater lover, this product is more than satisfactory for your needs. The set up is easy and took me less than 20 minutes. The Rocketfish satellite receiver is nice looking and easily concealable, as is the sender, and the product does what it says it will.Unfortunately if you're running 7.1, you will need two of the device, as it only accommodates 1 set of speakers per unit. The only other product like the Rocketfish I could find was a Bose Wireless Rear Speaker Kit, and it costs $250. I haven't used the Bose kit, but for over double the price, I'm willing to just stick with my Rocketfish. One thing to note, due to the lack of power the satellite receiver provides (only 20 watts per channel), it does not have enough power to run Dolby True HD or DTS HD Master Audio, so if you can afford to sacrifice the uncompressed audio formats, then this product will suit you just fine.Pick this one up if running wires is not a viable option for you.
