Great value for the price, some inaccuracies, not for everybody
A very good product at its price point. Two stars off for inaccurate specs. Wow, so cheap! How does it compare to pro gear costing way more? I rented a pro-level light kit of similar spec (Litepanels 1x1 LED Spot, approx $1100 new for one unit without stand or gels), to see how they differed, and a Sekonic C-500 color meter to make objective measurements. Let's compare, shall we?Physical spec: the StudioPRO is slightly larger than the Lightpanels. From the case design to the internal wiring, the build quality of the Litepanels looks much better than the StudioPRO. The Litepanels also has a built-in clear plastic cover so the LEDs are much less likely to be damaged. If I were hauling gear around from shoot to shoot, moving it a lot, etc, the Litepanels would inspire confidence.Stands: The stands that come with the StudioPRO are exactly what you would expect: cheap metal with cheap plastic fittings. Light and flimsy. They'll hold the light in position (better get some sandbags!) but they'd wilt fast under heavy pro usage. The Manfrotto stand I rented with the Litepanels was a burly piece of pro gear that will last approximately forever.Diffusion: The StudioPRO comes with a nice rigid diffusion gel and a warming gel. Given how close it is to the light source, and the nature of that source, the diffusion only does a little. You'll need a softbox if you want to obscure that dot grid pattern.Features: The StudioPRO has an on/off switch, a dimmer dial, and a mount for a battery. The Lightpanels is clearly a pro tool with a big dimmer dial and a variety of inputs for remote control of multiple lights.Light function: Both panels exhibited some flickering as the dimmer was changed, but no flicker when dimmer was steady. "Flicker-free dial" is not exactly accurate. The bigger knob on the Lightpanels made it easier to go slow and reduce flicker, but I wouldn't use it for fading the light in video. Also, the Lightpanels has a tiny delay, maybe one second, from the time it's switched on to the time the LEDs light up. I assume this is because of better circuitry--it's not a direct link from switch to LED--that should last longer.Light output: Ah, the most important statistic! How much light, and how white is it? This was the biggest surprise. I measured 1 meter from light to sensor. The Lightpanels 1x1 put out 1680 lux at 6100K, not too far from of its stated color temp of 5600K. The StudioPRO put out a healthy 3040 lux at a chilly 7200K. Twice as much light, which is great, but not anywhere near the advertised 5600K color temperature or 6800 lux @ 1m. Photographer beware! I don't have the equipment to measure color rendering so I can't validate StudioPRO's claim of >90 CRI.Given that you get two lights with gels and stands for $400, this is still a incredible value for the amateur portrait or product photographer. (Just remember to double-check your white balance.) Professional photogs will probably be better served spending the cash on the nicer pro gear, though.

Great kit!!!
Great kit! I thought with the aluminum casing the panels are heavy but they are not at all. Beautiful aluminum casing. I shoot a lot of videos and this kit is perfect for it. Everything in this kit exceeded my expectations. Still can't believe this is under $400! I hope the seller has this price promotion for a while as I am thinking about getting another set.

These lights are portable and are perfect for my studio
These lights are portable and are perfect for my studio. Does not add any heat, which is important because my video shoots are long. I was impressed by how the light system works and liked the filters that come with it. The Daylight balance is spot on with my Nikon D7300. I use them with a black backdrop and the light quality is very bright on the subject while still providing a velvety black background at 8 feet distance. Excellent!

Love these lights.
I just stared using these lights and so far they are great. When they arrived I unpacked them and the build quality seem really good. I set them up in the house and let them run for about 6 hours just be sure. They were still cool to the touch after being on for 6 hours. I've used these at one wedding and they were great. I like that they come with both a diffuser and the filter. I store them with the diffuser on to protect the LEDs. With the tripods fully extended I'd put a small sandbag on the tripod leg to ensure it is stable. I don't know that I'll use these fully extended often, but especially when I'm outside I'll have a sandbag handy.I have already recommended these to a friend.

Highly recommend!
These are a amazing light for painting! The lights take away all the shadows that I've been struggling with. I used to focus a light over the area I was working on and have to move the light as I went, but these light cover the whole 5'x4' canvas I work with. Would highly recommend to any artist!

Very nice LED kit for the price.
Excellent lighting kit for the price. LED lights have a good range of power and the added battery power option is a good plus. Barn doors sold separate? Not sure why. Battery adapter does make sense to sell separately. Tripod quality is poor but, for the price you are getting a pretty decent set of LEDs.

Light malfunctioned
Has not even been a year, and one of the lights shorted out. Can't figure out how to get it to work again. Don't know how to contact support because I know there's a 1yr warranty, so I hope they see this and contact me to figure out how to fix this issue, as I spent a lot of money on these lights.

I got these to do indoor product photography and LOVE them! I had purchased a similar set with only 250 LED vs 600 LED per panel and they were not bright/powerful enough. These lights are super lightweight, and easy to setup. I purchased the carrying case which is very convenient for storage or for travel. Great value!
