Will this case support adding the new poe hat for the raspberry pi 3 b= without sacrificing the number of pi's you can load in it?

The new Poe Hat is pretty slim but I am not sure their is enough clearance without removing a slot or two. We are expecting to get our poe this week sometime and can test it out if you want to reach out to us again we can let you know what we discover. This case does come with four fans so should stay cool enough with out it but they do use some GPIO pins on the pi.

What is the width for the switch?

It'll fit most modern 8 port switches with little room to spare on the top, but a very small amount of room to either side. The exact space is 8.75" x 1.625" so anything smaller than that should fit fine. If you don't need 8 and you only use a 4 port switch then you should have extra room on either side.

A 1 5/8" is the height of the lower opening. 1 1/'2" would be a nice fit with a little allowance,

Is each PI removable without powering down the others?

Thanks for asking. Yes each pi would be powered separately so you should be able to remove them easily without disrupting the others.
