A spot-on choice for small surround sound speakers
I'll be brief:I liked these guys, and I am not at all disappointed by my choice of BIC DV-32B for rear surround speakers. I am not in love with these, but for what they are, they're probably the best, and definitely amongst a few best out there. I just did the initial tests, and probably I expect these to break-in further as other BIC speakers did with me.I do have older model BIC DV-52 fronts, a Sony 8" sub, and also a BIC 62CLR center. Of course, for these tiny guys, low end / bass HAS to be reinforced by better front speakers and/or subwoofer, that goes without discussion, as these guys are very small. Having said that, these have heavy and strong magnets inside, and very high-quality material used both in tweeters and speaker membranes (very long-traveling, flexible and 'punchy' as well). So for their size and being, well, tiny plastic boxes, they sound quite, quite well on their own.NOW: what some people may have as problem is in their set-ups they would identify those as 'small speakers' (such as in Denon Audigy). This gives them that tinny sound that many are complaining about here. Make sure you manually override such setting to 'large' speakers or whatever your amp setting is that would not chop-off the low end (for small speakers it is done so that they would not 'rattle' as they cannot reproduce the frequencies below 150Hz... these buddies actually can), set the crossover frequency somewhere between 70 and 110Hz to your liking and choice of fronts/sub settings, and these should be good to go.For back / sides, these are REALLY a great choice, in my humble opinion.

Better than HTIB speakers...
UPDATE: I've since moved into a bigger space, and convinced the wife to allow me slightly larger speakers (Pioneer A. Jones BS22) for our home theater, so these babies got packed away. Just messing around the garage, I pulled them out, along with a Lepai 2020 amp. After hooking them up, I was reminded why they were such a great value. Very clean, even while running through this cheap amplifier, and filling the space with just past half-volume. Yep, I still love them.Replacing a Yamaha system: Yamaha NS-SP1800BL 5.1-Channel Home Theater Speaker System, with these. Sound is crisper, more open. These are heavy speakers, comparable to the shape and size of much more expensive Klipsch speakers. If you only want to spend a little at a time, rather than plunking down a big chunk of dough for a full set of Polks, give these little guys a try. I also have the center, BIC AMERICA DV-32CLR 31/2" 2-Way Center Channel Speaker, and I'm buying two more of these for surrounds. They do impress.

$58 down the drain.
Junk, speakers worked for five minutes and then one lost bass.I didn't want to pay for return shipping to Hippo so I opted to contact BIC, big fat no response to email and a tech support number that goes unanswered. So I'm out $58.00.Had to have something, so I ordered Micca MB42X, fantastic speakers. Sure they cost a little more, but they blow away the DV-32B(looks, build quality and yep they lasted more than five minutes).Pass on these speakers, build quality and customer support is severely lacking!UPDATE, second attempt by email has been ignored.

Great little speakers!!! reminds me of the Minimus 7!!
Bought these because of the size & frequency range (80-20K Hz); these are similar to my Minimus 7 speakers that are terrific but no longer available unless purchased used & people want about the same price as the new BIC DV-32B speakers! These have a 7 year warranty too!Anyway I received the BIC's sooner than expected! I was surprised at the weight & they ARE very similar to the Minimus 7; The grille is aluminum mesh, like the Minimus, but also has cloth covering;I like the different positions of the keyholes so the speakers can be hung in 3 different positions; Before hanging I gently pried the name plate (which is plastic & glued to grille) off to invert it!I hung these upside down on a post & wall as close to the ceiling as possible so they're angling downward for my surround speakers; I made a template using duct tape with holes located in the top of the keyholes, which made it easy to hang, & left enough room from the ceiling to slip the speaker onto the screws;I also placed four 3/8" furniture felt pads on the back of the speakers to keep them off the wall/post, so I adjusted the screw depth to accommodate the extra depth on the back; they fit virtually perfect & look great!I hooked them up to my DENON AVR & ran the auto setup so that the distance & levels, both volume & frequencies were adjusted; Now with these as surround & the Minimus 7 set as surround back I've got beautiful 7.1 sound!I did read that there is a break-in period so I'll run the auto setup again in a couple of weeks & update my review!06/13/16Still working great!11/21/17going strong
