USB/Battery Operated Portable Mini Paper Shredder

This is a nice handheld shredder for small desk papers. You can’t put too many at a time, but it gets the job done, stores easily, and doesn’t take up space.

I have a small place so I didn't want something the size of a small trash can taking up more space. It works great. You can fold a full 8 1/2 x 11 inch piece lengthwise and shred it in one pass. The shred width is 3/16 of an inch, which is good enough for me. The only reason I gave this product 4 instead of 5 stars is because it can only handle a shred job 2 sheets thick. I tried 3 and the motor cannot pull the sheets through.It runs on USB or batteries (4 AA, I think).

Not as fast as I wish

This item works very well; just tri-fold a letter size paper and insert. It only does one at a time. It is battery operated so it saves on the electricity bill. Since I don't shred a lot of paper (I re-cycle letter size paper by printing on the other side) its perfect for me. If one has loads of paper/documents to shred there are many options that are free that will handles boxes and boxes you want shredded FOR FREE if you look at your newspapers, posters, banks, etc. By recycling mostly "junk mail" I save lots of $ by my frugality. I should order another one!!!

I really hesitated before buying this Mini Shredder because of the poor reviews. Still, I wanted to get a rather small device so I decided to give it a chance. Here is my feedback after some weeks of use:- Each 8" x 11" sheet will need to be cut into three pieces in order to fit the with of this Mini Shredder- No more than one of these pieces at a time- If you are lucky the Mini Shredder will not get jammedSo in a nutshell, I certainly do not recommend this Mini Shredder at all; buying it is be a waste of money.

The shredder gets the job done, but that's about it. It can only shred 2 pieces of paper at a time, and since it's very narrow you have to fold standard pages in half to fit through, meaning you can really only shred 1 piece at a time. It is slow, and the shredded pieces are wide - if you shred a check, for example, you can still see sensitive information in the strips.Finally, I can only use it while plugged in to the USB cable. The battery compartment is so poorly designed it was too difficult to get the batteries in.

I'm a traveling professional entertainer who uses this in my stage act. This portable little thing works great for what I need it to do. Very durable--this gets tossed around in a traveling case quite a bit but works every time. If it jams, make sure to reverse and clear it as I made the mistake of tossing it aside once and leaving it "on." Burned up the motor. The one I use now is a replacement but is working great so far.

I’ve been looking for a portable shredder for just one check at a time as I am a small business and once the check clears at my bank from a remote deposit I did not like just ripping the check up into tiny pieces. I love the shredder. It is much more secure and safe. Thank you you than

As other reviewers stated, this shreds literally one piece of paper at a time. For my needs, that is adequate: I wanted something that didn't take up a lot of space that could shred the occasional account statement or other bits of sensitive paper correspondence I receive. If you mainly receive online statements and occasionally just need to shred a couple pieces of paper this is a good little shredder that tucks away into a desk drawer. If shredding is something you do more regularly, though, this will drive you nuts with nothing to catch the paper shreds and its one piece at a time limitation.

The shredder works as expected - maybe a little weaker than expected. If you are using this to shred your personal information (from mail) - be patient it does a good job - one page at a time. A regular page folded in two is all you should attempt otherwise you will be pulling it through which is hard on the mechanism. The USB option is nice to run it without leaving batteries idle. Four stars - for getting the job done.

I'm impressed by this little thing! It's not meant for doing a lot of shredding at once but if you have the odd confidential stuff or bills to shred it's perfect. It's easy to use. And small enough to store away nicely.

Works well but can seem tedious if you have a large stack of papers to shred at a time since it can get jammed easily. I tend to shred papers one at a time and ensure that they're folded length-wise in order to fit properly in the opening. Perfect shredder for receipts too!

This is a changed revision.I put 4 AA batteries in, but it would not work. The batteries were brand new. It only works on the USB. The shredder works fine but not on batteries. I always carry a battery pack with me with a USB slot so I can still shred away from home.
