I like it, but it took some getting used to as I used to carry my camera on my other hip. This only allows for the strap to cross the body from left shoulder to right hip (unless I am missing something). You might also note that the Black Rapid Strap is not really compatible with cameras that have a arca-swiss type tripod plate attached. You have to use one or the other unless you want to invest $150 in the correct attachment. It'll work with Manfrotto, but you again need to pay for a different type screw ($20).

Versatile strap.
My wife is the photographer in the family. Most of the pictures I take are from some mobile device, but my wife cherishes her Canon T3i and her many heavy, expensive lenses. Sadly, she has neck problems resulting from a car accident back in 1999, so I wanted to get her a more ergonomic strap, but I had to be able to use it myself for those times when I feel creative or she is just tired of carrying the camera. She is a dainty 5'3" woman who wears a women's size medium shirt and I am 6' and wear a men's XXXXL Tall, just to give you an idea of how much flexibility we needed from the system. As she is the one with the DSLR 90% of the time, her comfort was paramount, but the "Elle" strap (the other model from BlackRapid that is designed to navigate a woman's anatomy) would not adjust to be long enough for me and is not compatible with the "Bert" extension piece. Thankfully this model, knows as the "Kick", is still designed for a woman, but will accept the Bert extension piece, so it will fit me as well. With the Bert installed, there is MORE than enough room. I could happily use this strap with the Bert being 1/3 the length that it is, but it certainly doesn't hurt or get in the way having more room, especially if I wind up using the strap over a heavy winter coat, etc.The system is very solid and secure and I have complete faith in it.We use this strap to carry our Canon T3i with lenses up to the 200-400mm f/4L and the Manfrotto quick release plates, in conjunction with the following additional BlackRapid items:- BlackRapid RMA-30B Bert (Black)- BlackRapid RFH-1E0 Fastenr Tripod (FR-T1) (Black)- BlackRapid RAA1C-1AO Tether Kit (Black)I plan on adding the Brad, Buck and the Lockstar accessories as well, just for a little added peace of mind when in very active, crowded places such as amusement parks.

I really don't know what to say about this. The product made wearing the camera comfortable for me but somehow the strap broke loose from the camera and the camera with its big lens fell to the ground. Fortunately it was just a short distance and the ground was soft and there does not appear to be damage. I don't know if the fault was mine or the connector. Now I cannot find the screw part for the camera and can't use it at all. Since I don't know what went wrong, I can't really criticize the product but I will say be very very careful and meticulous with ever aspect of the attachment and make sure the clip is not only attached but the safety screw well attached as well.

The best - almost
I love this strap. I can't imagine a higher quality camera strap. Sometimes I like to take pictures of the city while I'm out and about for other reasons other than photography, and I don't want to carry a bunch of equipment. Or I'm going for a walk somewhere scenic, etc. This strap is so comfortable and hands-free, I can carry around my DSLR absolutely anywhere, and I don't have to have it around my neck or dig it out of a bag when I want it. I've had the $10 knock-off version of this strap and there is simply NO comparison.I was recently in the mountains of Boulder, CO and at Mt. Rainier, and I kinda felt bad for folks lugging their cameras with neck straps. The added weight and the need to hold the camera still while walking on rough terrain looked very unpleasant. Plus they were sweating all over their neck straps. Eeewwwwww.My only complaint is that there is intentionally a clasp to open it and add attachments, but since this is on the back, I feel like a clever theif could possibly undo it. Maybe not likely in the U.S., but in places with pickpocket issues (e.g. Brazil currently) maybe. Keep that in mind if you travel. They have straps that do not have this feature that are otherwise pretty much the same. I bought the largest add-on pocket, I think it was called Bryce, and found that it made the strap less comfortable. It was weird having a bulky attachment which put weight on the strap. It ended up not being big enough for my phone anyway, and I don't use it. If I had to choose again, I wouldn't get this feature.I don't like how it takes up the tripod mount, but from what I can tell, all shoulder straps do this.

Allows too much swinging motion
I thought that the BlackRapid Kick strap was well made and comfortable to wear. It most definitely made it easy for me to lift my camera into position to take photos. What I didn't like was how much my camera swung around when I was walking, no matter where I positioned the two locking bumpers and no matter how much I shortened or lengthened the strap. The only way to stop my camera from swinging when I was moving was to keep my right hand on it at all times. This was a deal breaker for me, so I returned the strap.

Fantastic product...LOVEIT!
Absolutely LOVE this strap!!! I bought this back in February and was excited to try it out. I have always used the regular strap that comes with the camera and hated how heavy my camera and lens felt (Canon camera with ef70-200 professional lens) around my neck and it would always make my back hurt. Now that I have used this strap with my camera for several months I can say it is fantastic!! No more neck or back pain, I can wear it for hours and hours with no problem. This strap adjust to different heights with no problem. I am 5'1 and my husband is 5'10 and we have not problem adjusting it to fit either of us. Love how it has the option to lock the camera in place by my side or a bit behind me. I would definitely recommend this strap!

very good - I would recommend it - It is much easier to carry the camera - The only drawback I can see is that, when you are not using the camera,(i.e. between shoots) you can't place the camera flat on a surface. either than that I would recommend it.
