Genius Garlic cutter G5 4pcs in white, Stainless Steel, 27 x 18 x 5.2 cm

I have had a garlic genius for many years, and it finally wore out, so I went to Amazon to get a new one. Not being careful, I accidentally bought a knockoff from China and it broke on the first use. Don't be fooled by cheaper garlic geniuses - they are complete junk. This one costs more, and you have to wait for it to be delivered from Germany, but it is worth it. It minces garlic beautifully every time.

We've owned four of these mincers over the years. The original one (from Eastern Europe) finally wore out after many years of use, the second one was a licensed German version which we ended up giving to a friend who liked it so much, on the third one (a Chinese copy) we somehow misplaced the bottom piece with the cutting edge (probably got thrown away accidentally) and this is our fourth (once again, the German one).Objectively, I can't say why these are so good, but subjectively they make the absolute best tasting minced garlic for sauteing or for salads or for seasoning. The flavor they produce from the garlic is perfect. I even ran an experiment where I minced some of a garlic clove by hand and minced the rest of the same garlic clove in the Garlic Genius. The flavor of the garlic from the Garlic Genius was noticeably better.I can't explain that, but I don't care. All I know about it is, we are *always* satisfied with garlic cut by the Garlic Genius.

A well made garlic cutter and mincer. Mashing garlic through a press looses a lot of the oil in the clove/bulb, but this is nice cleanly sliced minces or small cubes. I used the last one I had for 15 years, and I lent it out ONE TIME a few weeks ago, and guess what... They broke the tabs that hold the blade section in place, it still works if you keep your hand around the mid and blade section.I felt it was time to get another one. My original one is the stainless and black version. This one works just as good.I also have the slicer version for nice quick slices when needed.

I'm giving it 3 stars because the darn recipe book is in German hey this is America I understand we buy from over counties and we in America cater to all but it would be nice if somebody would have put the recipe book in English too then I could use it now it is useless anybody know anyway I can get it in English

Great thing to dice garlic!

First of all, I like that the garlic cutter easily comes apart for easy cleaning. Second, it makes it soooo easy to cut up garlic. And it does so with two different sized cutting attachments that cuts your garlic into small cubes. It's comes with the garlic peeler and you just drop the peeled garlic into the Genius Germany cutter and turn the top crank and it does the rest. Turning the garlic into lots of little miniature cubes for your use. Thanks guys.

Have owned 2 of these. First was built much better than the second - used it endlessly for a few years and was fantastic until one day it finally broke. Bought the current model. This model is the most frustrating garlic press ever. When it works - it's amazing. Easy to use, clean etc. But then it breaks. The whole twisting mechanism separates and your are left with 3 plastic pieces and a ring that fit inside the twisting piece...and it is nearly impossible to get it back together. Mine has broken at least every 2 months - and I literally spend an entire day trying to get the thing back together..and wind up chopping my garlic. I can no longer recommend.

I opened this today to wash it prior to using. It is dirty inside and has clearly been used before. I am assuming it was a return. there were also no instructions on how to take it apart for thorough cleaning and no included recipes. I was revolted to receive a dirty kitchen tool. from the outside all looked OK but there were remnants of garlic inside and many brown stains.
