Jensen JMS2212 Waterproof AM/FM/iPod/iPhone & SIRIUS Satellite Radio Ready Stereo with USB Input & NOAA Weatherband

The BMW K1200LT has been the flagship motorcycle for years. One of its lesser assets has been the audio system. If you didn't ride with an audio system before and tried the K1200LT system, you would insist on having one always. It seems, however, that LT riders find their radio/amplifier failing after a period of use. Repair or replacement are sky high, especially when you compare the cost of replacing the system. Enter the Jensen JMS2212. Better radio, better sound, better looks and not difficult to install. I simply love it.

The radio is cheap "I don't mean inexpensive" I mean poorly built poor quality. The soft buttons are difficult to push and sometimes the screen freezes and you cannot operate any functions! My device is less than 3 weeks old and it has locked up "frozen screen" several dozen times. I purchased the unit in May 2014 and I did not install it until a few weeks ago "winter" so now the company who sells the device on amazon HPP Enterprizes will not refund or exchange the defective device! "Buyer Beware!" 30 days is not enough time to evaluate the quality of a $200 dollar device!

Overall a great product ordered for installation as a wall mounted unit rather than a boat.The main unit, not the remote portion, started to have issues with the line out having a ground hum, and an odd noise that happens every so often as-well-as every time it is powered on. A request for assistance in replacing the heart of the unit, but they only send a troubleshooting guide which is useless for internal defects. Since the latest response was sent from Jensen Marine and ASA Electronics, the people that make the stuff for Jensen, no response has ever been received and the problem continues. Seems like a good product, horrible customer support.

I had to get a new unit as my old one, only 2 years old, went up in smoke. This fit right in the fiberglass console on my boat. The AM/FM works ok. I don't use the SIRIUS as its a waste of money. Weatherband hasn't made a peep, but there might not be signal around where I am. All in all...it doesn't make me jump up and down, but either did the old one.

I love the fact that the face of the radio is separate from the base. It made it very easy to install in my Waverunner. The sound is great. The weather band alert feature is awesome.

I purchased to install on my motorcycle because it said it was sirius capable. But when it came in, it said you needed the SCC1 tuner for the sirius to work. Well the SCC1 tuner has been discontinued. So there is no way to make sirius work with this unit.

2 big and bulky wanted for my bike 2 many wires no way to mount it may be good for a boat or camper

I purchased this unit for my boat which does not offer a place for an audio system out of the elements. Was very easy to set up and use. Has great sound and would buy again.
