The little heater that could
I actually bought this heater as a replacement to one we've had since the first year they came out. I let it get way too dirty with dust over time and it finally failed. Inexpensive, but it lasted so many years. I took it apart to see how it was built. Amazingly simple and wonderfully made. I purchased another one and to my surprise it has greatly improved. It's still the same heater, but the materials have gotten better. But why do I call it the little heater that could? I live in a two bedroom apartment with electric heat. It costs a fortune to turn the heaters on. But I can put this little heater on 750 Watts (low) and run it 24/7 and the whole place stays warm! The only time I run the baseboards is in the bathroom during the morning. One special note: it does make a fair amount of noise. There are other types of heaters if you prefer quiet. However I found it very tolerable I do not mind running it.

ELECTRIC HEATERS: good, but missing big logic on being effective.
190721 ELECTRIC HEATERS: good, but missing big logic on being effective.skip price problem on 2 models (have to figure out which way, for yourself), but from an old model to a new & price difference not make sense going to the new. PROBLEMS:1) guessing 1 was 25% warmer model & so the lower setting is completely missed, compared to other model, ie the lower power model is required in spring / fall if just a little to cold.. where (my opinion), it is necessary for the heater to start / stay on the lower setting (think on old model) is half that of the low setting on the new. you must have the lower setting else nothing will happen. IE: REALLY REALLY DUMB no one is taking time to calculate what goes on in a room. ANSWER: would 'maybe' be have 1 heater on low (for the lower heat model: discontinued?), and the warmer model on medium/ what-ever.if you cannot figure out why, you didn't do your job, Answer: night time comes & you have to jump up-down 10 times per day turning the stupid heater on-off.2) THE ANSWER: comes in the power? if correct: a power coil (copper wire binding around a core) supplies the juice for the heat, depending on the switch setting. what do they call that: a stepped output? close enough.3) PROBLEM: manufacture cutting corners / gets a big hair to change something just for the sake of?ANSWER: add (literally) a fourth? lead from the power coil: 2 dang cents? and MAYBE an extra 50 cents for a different switch & OILA? sp another power setting. NOT FOR A $10 jack in price for the wrong direction.MODEL: Honeywell HHF360V 360-Degree Fan Forced Surround HeaterMODEL: Honeywell HZ-0360 Surround Heat Heater

Needs a removable dust filter
Bought this for my mother-in-law as a replacement for an earlier model heater (same make and design) to keep her bathroom warm while she took a bath. Both this and the older model do a good job of putting out heat with minimal noise. However, both models are dust catchers and there is no way to clean the insides without taking them apart. The older model would collect so much dust that it would block the air flow and stop working. It had to be partly disassembled to clean out the dust after which it would work again. I haven't experienced this problem yet with the newer model (as it's getting much less use) but I can see the dust accumulating.

Inexpensive and Effective
The product delivered to me was the older model Honeywell HZ-2200. Not the newer HZ0360 which is pictured. The product did appear to be new and works well. The price is also in line with (in fact better than) other listings for the old model so I've chosen not to complain. But be advised if you are expecting the heater in the pictures you may not get it as I did not. What was delivered (HZ-2200) puts out plenty of heat for my insulated 25x16 attic room. So far the thermostat has worked well, keeping temps in a 3-4 degree range day and night. It isn't quiet - much , much louder than my HZ-519, indeed about twice as loud as my PC - which is equipped with three 92mm fans. That said it isn't necessarily bothersome in an office setting. The racket is more whoosh than hiss and is smooth... unlike the grating rattling and grinding of the ceramic disc furnace it replaced.Overall this heater meets my expectations and is working well. Assuming it proves durable it represents an excellent value.

A heat strong enough to warm your heart.
Bought it last winter for my room and was not disappointed. The built in safety feature actually saved my life once while I was away and the heater got knocked over by my cat somehow close to very flammable material. Heats up the room in minutes and a big room in about 20 minutes. It's small so you can't expect it to beast mode and make the heat waves travel faster oh wait you can (kinda) because it has three options; fan, heat 1 and heat 2. I usually leave it on heat 2 because I like to stay nice and toasty over the winter which brings me to the fact that the heater gives off a cozy vibe. Also there is no need for a strategic placement thanks to it's 360 spread. Another thing is that you can easily carry it to a different room if you got tired of the one you are currently in.

Doesn't put out much heat!
This unit is designed for a small room but it only radiates heat within about a 6 inch diameter. The first time I used it knocked out my surge protector. Not at all impressed.

Crappy Luck in Space Heaters
Initially this model kicked the heat very nicely and was perfect for my small bathroom but sadly after about 45 days it no longer works on the high heat setting. For the past 4 years I have been having terrible luck finding a space heater that doesn't clunk out on me. And after this purchase Honeywell is no longer a trusted brand. Just as soon as I turn this space heater on it shuts off. This purchase was a big disappoint. The Honeywell 360 degree Surround Fan Forced space heater felt like it was well built and would last but sadly I will now be returning this model.
