No fiberglass – really!
** Initial review: 4 stars ** (see updates below)I got this mattress in 10" queen in gray. I’ve had many memory-foam mattresses/“bed in a box” kits over the years. What appealed to me about this one was the price and that it’s fiberglass-free.UNPACKING ITHubby and I opened the mattress at 4:00 pm and closely inspected it — no mold or dirt. Whew. Looked totally clean. I have allergies and am a STICKLER about clean mattresses. Had I seen a smudge of anything remotely suspect, I would have immediately returned it. I was horrified by the stories from other reviewers about finding mold (and then being told by the company that it was “just dirt” — equally unacceptable!), and honestly I was expecting the worst. I literally tried to cancel my order twice, but Amazon refused because it had already shipped. Fortunately, to my great relief, the mattress arrived 100% clean. And believe me, I inspected every inch of the thing. As part of my inspection, I checked the fabric and stitching all the way around. I saw no open seams or loose threads. The zippers ran smoothly. There was no smell at all once we got it out of the packaging. Memory foam mattresses have a very recognizable odor (if you’ve had one, you know) and usually off-gas for a few days. This one had a faint odor ONLY during the five minutes we were removing the plastic packaging. (And honestly, a lot of products do that if they’ve been cooped up in plastic wrap for a time.) It went away immediately.FIBERGLASS DOUBLE-CHECKI unzipped the cover a few inches — gingerly at first — to confirm that the mattress is indeed fiberglass-free, as advertised. THANK GOD. The slabs of foam are held together by a knit “sock” that clearly does not contain fiberglass because it is matte and has no shiny bits, nor did it shed any fibers. It appears to be a cotton-poly blend. See my attached photo. This means the cover is washable! (To be clear, I’m talking about the *zippered cover*, not the inner sock.) Although I don’t personally need to wash the cover — because I use an allergen-proof mattress encasement — I can see how having the option to wash it could be useful.HEIGHTWe set the mattress on the bed frame, and two hours later, it had plumped up to 8".Twenty-four hours later, it had only plumped up to 9", and one of the corners by the footboard was still a bit crumpled. At this point now (a week into it, at the time I’m writing this review), I’m not sure it will ever fully inflate to the stated 10". Not a huge deal, though, as I only ordered this mattress as an emergency stopgap until we can buy a nicer one locally.FIRMNESSEveryone’s perception will be different, but on a scale of 1-10, where 1=plush (squishmallow) and 10=firm (plank of wood), this mattress feels to me like an 8. It’s quite firm. I honestly wasn’t expecting this. All of my memory foam mattresses over the years have been a ~5 (fairly cushy), so I assumed this one would be too.Despite my reservations about its firmness, I have slept VERY well on this mattress over the past week. No pain, zero complaints. I don’t normally go for firm mattresses, but I may be a convert now. LOL.FINAL THOUGHTSOverall this is an excellent mattress if you have a smaller budget and want to avoid the dreaded fiberglass sock. Despite its minor drawbacks, for the price, it’s a perfectly acceptable mattress.** UPDATE, four days later **The crumpled corner has fixed itself, but the mattress is still only 9" tall.** UPDATE, two weeks later: Rating increased to 5 stars **I changed the bed linens today and, for craps & cackles, measured the height of the mattress again. It’s at 10" now. I was shocked that it actually got there. I’m still loving the firmness and have been waking up blessedly pain-free. I’ve increased my rating to five stars.** UPDATE, three months later, January 2023 **I am IN LOVE with this mattress. I don’t think I’ll bother buying a different one locally, as this “stopgap” mattress has exceeded all my expectations.I noticed the manufacturer is now, at the time of this update, offering more variations of this mattress than were available when I bought it. There are now “firm” options. My best guess is that the mattress I bought & received is the “firm” variety, and they are selling a new, softer mattress slotted into the plain “8/10/12-inch” categories. Why do I think this?Because I cannot imagine how a memory foam mattress could possibly be firmer than mine without either defying the laws of physics or being a slab of literal stone. If we end up ordering a new mattress for the guest room, you can bet we’ll buy this one again, and I’ll report back and either confirm or refute my theory about the new “firm” variety.** UPDATE, six months after original review, April 2023 **WE DID IT: We bought the exact same mattress, 10" gray, for the guest room — and my theory was right! The new mattress is softer, about a 6 on the 1-10 firmness scale. It also plumped up WAY faster than the original one, probably because it’s less dense. The height measured 8.5" a mere 30 minutes after opening and reached the full 10" by the next day. All four corners were immediately crisp with no crumpling. The cover was clean & pristine on all sides. No odor. We are extremely pleased! Our original mattress is still phenomenal. Zero complaints. Would buy again in a heartbeat.I can confidently give my full endorsement of this mattress, both the “firm” and “not firm” varieties.May you have restful and pain-free sleep, my friend.

Even better than I had hoped!
I’m usually not one to leave reviews but this mattress….. I love it! I wanted to give it a couple weeks before reviewing but I was satisfied the first night we slept on it.For reference, I purchased the 12” Blue Firm king size mattress. I got my first memory foam mattress right at the the time “bed in a box” options first started to pop up online. That initial mattress nearly made me avoid memory foam entirely. It was a “medium-firm” 14” king size and it was TERRIBLE. It was dipping within the first week. And my husband and I were much smaller people at the time. Hip and back pain became a constant companion but it was quite pricy and we were trying to make it work. A couple weeks ago I simply had enough. It was time to look at other options.I couldn’t find much that wasn’t memory foam though. Over the years I purchased other memory foam mattresses for our boys and I found them quite comfy so I figured maybe we’d have better luck trying a different firmness or maybe design had come a long way since we bought ours. I read through reviews for days before landing on the Molblly brand. I was still a little unsure on which firmness to get because some reviews said the medium firm was too firm. Others said too soft. The reviews were equally mixed on the firm mattresses.Ultimately I decided to go with firm for more support to help with my pain and figured I could always put a topper on it to add extra softness. The mattress was here within 48 hours. I immediately unboxed it to expand. It was much firmer than our previous mattress but again, there was the topper option if that turned out to be a problem. It was MUCH lighter than my previous mattress too. I was a little worried at first that it had only expanded 9” in 12 hours but based on other memory foam mattresses I’ve purchased I knew I needed to trust the process. Besides, in my experience, memory foam can expand up to an inch off so as long as it hit 11” I would be satisfied.72 hours later and it expanded to around 11.75”! Perfect. When I first laid on it I immediately thought “uh oh” as it was FIRM. Plusher than the floor but pretty firm all the same but…. Trust the process. That first night’s sleep it was pretty clear that while this was indeed a much firmer mattress than the one I had, it was also incredibly comfortable. I can’t explain it but after you lay down a few minutes it gets a bit softer as it molds to your pressure points. It was the best nights sleep I had in YEARS. No topper needed. Over the last week I’ve also noticed my back and hips are less sore. My husband also saw a reduction in headaches he had been waking up with a couple times a week too.I can’t speak to longevity yet but it seems to be a higher quality than my previous mattress. And you can’t beat the price.Speaking of price, I had purchased the mattress on Saturday during Labor Day weekend. I figured any holiday sales would be up already so just bought it. I didn’t want to wait ;) but when I hopped on to check my order that Monday to check tracking I noticed it was marked down $45 less than what I had paid less than two days before.Totally my fault as I shouldn’t have assumed there wasn’t a sale planned for Monday but I figured it wouldn’t hurt to contact the company. They were very kind and helpful and immediately refunded me the difference. I’m pretty much their customer for life now ;)I definitely recommend!!
