Fundamental Accounting Principles -Hardcover

This was the first accounting course I had taken and, as far as text books go, this one did a pretty good job of explaining the concepts and helping me to understand what it was I was supposed to be learning. The only real gripe I have about the book is the lack of practice problems with answers. There are plenty of practice scenarios but if I get this thing right, one has to pay to join some website to get the answers to those problems. I personally think that is pretty sketchy considering the price of this book.

I'm coming from an angle of hatred. I do not like accounting and my major is forcing me to take accounting classes. Let me get that out of the way. I rented this book so it did not come with codes and if properly learning from this book requires that code, it's already a waste of time.-The book fails to clearly outline key terms. There is no glossary either.-Practice questions failed to properly teach me how to set up problems.-Reading the book is confusing. The diagrams don't match up well, all I see is a bunch of lines and the numbers look like there were added randomly. I shouldn't have to stare at a graph for 30min like it was part of a homework problem. Should be easier to read.-When practice problems point out which part of the chapter you are practicing, it really likes to keep it vague. "Section C2, P1, P2, P3" is almost half the chapter, you're not pointing out how to get the answer clearly.The only feature I found helpful is the last 6 pages of the book. With names and numbers of accounts and the several charts and equations list.

What can I say, a books a book. Nothing great about this book. Kept me up at night more then once. Sadly it never left my side the entire semester, would have helped my sleeping schedule if it had. Have fun in college all you future accountants.

The book came filled with a white powdery substance. What is this??

Slightly complex to understand but great book over-all.

good textbook

As I bought this book new, I was assuming that there'd be an online code included which I didn't find when the book arrived. Aside from that everything was great and in order.
