A sturdy bookshelf and wood is a good thickness, so looks good too. The shelfs fit nicely.So the down side it wasn't easy to put together as the there are no markings on the wood to say which is which, so you have to work out from the pictures the orientation of the panels. I have you done that it is easy to assemble. I recommend a power screwdriver as there are alot of screws to fit.You may need the wall secure as its not overly stable on its feet due to it hight so be careful there.Other that a good buy, looks good. It is a good quality and value for money.

Good quality materials but instructions could be clearer. It would help if certain components were labelled left or right when viewed from the front. .Assembly required 2 people; one to steady the sides whilst the top and base screws were fitted. On completion there was some side to side movement although the screws had been fully tightened. I purchased some sturdy 2 hole angle brackets and fitted 8 of these to the underside of the base in strategic places where they would not be seen. This has made the bookcase far more stable.

Good delivery. Came flat packed. Instructions are a bit difficult being honest but you can eye ball it and it's easy enough to see if something isnt right. For the price. Preferably 10 quid less would be better but overall. Once it's up, sturdy bookshelf, stable and so far, reliable.

Dont expect to be blown away by the build quality of this bookcase, the screws are too big and its a strange assembly ( I advise you follow the instructions to the letter) however there is no denying that once built and your books, ornaments etc displayed, its a nice looking unit ........ just dont look too closely!

Unfortunately had to return item. Box badly damaged when delivered as left in safe place so did not see driver to refuse delivery. Very heavy so a neighbour helped us bring into lounge. Placed on a mat and opened carefully and found a very large chunk out of a side piece at the top that corresponded with one of holes in box. Checked if other damage. What we found was instructions appalling and we struggled to identify pieces as looked nothing like on diagrams. All screws etc thrown into one bag so we went through them to try to identify each type and found some of 'pins' for putting shelves in to missing. We could not see anyway these could be fitted securely anyway. As damaged, before sorting return, we looked at how you put parts together and far from easy, so decide refund rather than replacement needed. For example on checking base piece against where it fitted to side pieces screw holes were appx 1/2 inch out of line. At first we were offered a replacement part for damaged one but, as it was obvious somepaets were well out of line and you would need a joinery decree to put together we asked for a return to be arranged and a full refund. At first they tried to get us to sort return at cost to us. Item too big and bulky to get to a collection centre and would have been very costly to have collected. We were definately not prepared to even try to do this and after several e-mails and involving Amazon complaints dept a collection was finally arranged. 1 Star given as item, even if undamaged would never have been anywhere near fit for purpose without a LOT of adjustments, and not best customer service on sorting return

Easy to assemble, good quality for the money.

Firstly I have ordered this brand of furniture before and had no issues. But the first one sent to me looked like it already was a returned item, upon opening pieces were broken. After speaking to Amazon they sent out another one, this was perfect! Easy to assemble and it good quality for the price. If I hadn't of had the dodgy one sent to me first it would of got a higher rating

Shelf unit as a whole is ok. Sturdy & good quality wood. However the holes drilled for the shelf brackets were far too small and it took a lot of drilling and hammering to get them in!
