Absolutely wonderful
Came up very quickly and vigorously- great quality! Reading some of the negative comments shows some folks don’t have a good understanding of the patience needed for asparagus- it’s not “fast food”, folks😝I might get another batch and over-crowd them- they seem pretty happy in my raised bed😊 grateful for finding such a great actually human USA supplier!

Nice healthy looking rootstock
2020: All had nice long FIRM roots with some spears starting to pop up! They look great and will be joining fellow asparagus brethern in the garden shortly!Update 2023: Still going strong! I have had these in the ground for 3 seasons. They are thick, sweet and crisp without the woodiness. I was very impressed with the tastiness of this variety. Above and beyond better then the Mary Washingtons I have.

Growing in my garden great!
Took a while to arrive, but they were still moist & not dried up. I think it was the post office that caused a delay. There was a tiny bit of mold on some roots. They all came up and are growing well! I can't wait to taste them.

Small but reliable
Unfortunately a bit smaller than expected - though, for the listed price, one could hardly expect huge crowns - but in every other regard this product has been stellar. They arrived very quick considering that I live in Hawaii, and every one of the crowns I planted came up and is currently thriving. Looking forward to a purple feast!I have heard of sellers refusing to ship to Hawaii because they believe asparagus can't grow here, but in fact this might be one of the best places on earth to grow it - no wintering means that asparagus can spend the entire year growing, and some farmers here claim to be able to harvest their asparagus *three times* a year!

Happy with these
Received more than I ordered and although they were delayed by 5 days, I put them in the ground and they all were putting up frons within a week. They look promising and also appreciated the follow-up of the seller.

Spears! Within weeks of planting
Buying crowns or any plant online is always a dice roll. I am happy to report despite their dry looking state that they speared right up in around 2 weeks of planting, planted 03/13/2020 in CA. I bought some other crowns of similar age from another online seller and these spears are much thicker overall, just under a pencil thick vs the others were around the lead of that pencil thickness instead.

All except one are female plants :(
The shoot did come back thick and strong this spring (first spring), but now they all hang full of seeds except one which apparent is a male plant and pollinate the rest of the plants. I am not sure how much will come back strong next year. I will have to spend time getting rid of the seeds so nutrient can be used for growing plant and root not for growing seeds.
