Premium quality product !
I have worked in industry and also in a power station, and have seen and used a lot of fittings (too many really !) of all shapes and sizes, but in this case I was removing a six 48 year old TRV's and replacing then with more modern Drayton ones... simple you might say … but no !!Everything looked straight forward until I looked at the bottom fitting of the old TRV, and as I have microbore the original installer had used a soldered 15mm to 8mm reducer but this was firmly stuck in the valve body and nothing I could do would extract it, it had probably been over tightened. So realising I would have to cut it off I thought there would only be 2 options, either all the hassle of fitting another soldered adaptor (not good in decorated house), or use one of those one-piece adaptors, but I didn't like the idea of those, as they are a non-conventional method, which I think could lead to problems at a later date, especially if you have to remove them sometime in the future (you would have to hacksaw then off !).Then I purely by accident came across these !Firstly they are extremely well made and 'weighty' and the chrome plating (the photo on here gives them a sort of copper tinge but they are a nice chrome finish) means they are an exact match for the Drayton valve body.I fitted then into the Drayton valve body first and tightened up the body nut.. perfect !Then after cutting the old valve off on the microbore side with a 8mm Pipe cutter (much cleaner and easier that using a hacksaw) just put that into the bottom of the adaptor and tightened the nut, job done !!!The whole job of fitting this adaptor took about 5 minutes, and what's more it LOOKS really good to !In the end I was pleased that I had used this method rather than the 'one-piece brass adaptor', though some people might prefer that other unconventional method, but having seem some catastrophic failures on boilers, where untried things were used, I will stick to the good old 'nut and olive' !I know that if I have to do this job again I will definitely use these adaptors for sure, and even more importantly my wife thinks they look good.If I could give more than 5 stars I would !

Top quality product.
This we're to take 8mm copper and I attached them into 15mm rad valves. Work great. Worth every penny. I would say sold for less than they're worth. Thanks.
