GE 29451 Four-Line Business Telephone

I searched EVERYWHERE for this exact phone to add to the four already networked together at my place of business, and could not find it anywhere. Finally, one seller had one, and I gobbled it up. Works great with the other phones in the network and was so easy to add in. Thanks so much!!!!

I ordered this phone for our law office in November. After several weeks, it arrived. The new associate started after the holidays. Line two did not work. Contacted seller. His response was that he was not going to do a thing about it not working b/c we did not contact him sooner. His phones do not work and he's not not easy to work with or willing to exchange. In short, we were stuck w/a $140 phone that does not work. I would not buy from this seller again.

This a pretty good phone. If you like a phone with a lot of features, this one's for you. Without the manual though, it might just take a rocket scientist to program this thing. So if you buy one, make sure a manual or the quick guide is included. Otherwise you may never figure this phone out.My favorite feature is the busy/redial button. When trying to get a hold of important contacts, if I get a busy signal, I just hang up, hit the busy/redial button, and let the phone do the rest. It keeps trying and notifies me when it finally gets through.A silent hold button, no clicks, no pops when putting callers on hold.The speaker phone is the only draw back. Not well built, and I have had to many malfunctions with the speakerphone so I don't use it. Other than that this is a good phone. For the money, this is a very advanced telephone.A feature rich phone, for those who don't have the money to buy more expensive brands.

This is one of the best consumer products I've purchased. I bought a large number of the previous version/model in 1995, and have upgraded to the 29451, which has the LCD/liquid crystal display, a better speakerphone, and a few extra functions. The amazing characteristic was its remarkable intercom function - just plug in the power and the phone line jack, and you have an instant intercom. There is also a "paging" system, or broadcasting function. Quick-dialing programming, redialing, conference calling, and call transferring ( to another phone within the office) all work flawlessly. The speakerphone is excellent, although you have to allow for the fact that reasonably-priced speakerphones are not "two-way" -- the microphone transmits speech only one direction at a time; if more than one participant speaks, the sound is blocked.

I've had this model, plus the predecessor for about 14 (!) years and we now have 6 phones hooked altogether...both the earlier version and this version all work together & work perfectly...I keep wanting to upgrade because I think after all these years I think I must be missing something, but everytime I check online, I see I'm only missing cordless capability. I hesitate to spend money for a new phones when these work great...I think I hosed one the other day with an electrical spike, so I'll probably end up buying a replacement... and not a whole system!Best decision I ever made to buy this phone system!
