I had cabinets with black vinyl edge banding.
The cabinets were dark and the banding was black. I cleaned the banding with rubbing alcohol then sprayed them with this primer and it worked perfectly. Then I painted everything white. I highly recommend this product .Everything from XIM is great!!

Too soon to tell
I bought this to paint the plastic colonial window inserts on my exterior steel doors. After a lot of researching, this looked like the best product. To start off, I found the spray button to be very hard to hold down. I'm an older, and weaker, woman, so I asked my husbands opinion. He thought it was pretty hard, as well. The application went very well and only needed one coat. Paint seems to have adhered very well. Only time will tell. PLEASE make the button easier to press

Adheres to nylon well
I had a 3d figurine printed from Shapeways, using a the cheapest material possible -- nylon. After reading Amazon reviews stating that other primers do not always stick to their plastics, I bought this one based upon little to no negative reviews regarding plastic adhesion. I was able to use several small coats on my figurine, and it dried quickly, and was easy to paint on. The texture is somewhat gritty, but I suppose that is to be expected for paint to adhere well. I did not do any sanding after priming. Bottom line -- it has held the paint in place for several months, so it works as advertised.

Does not work on laminate or vinyl
I have this bathroom cabinet that is 98% wood. However, there is this random side panel that is laminate and I have yet to find anything that will stick to it. I had already painted it 2 times and each time, as soon as it dries it peels off completely from this one square panel. My husband ordered this product and swore that it would definitely work this time. So I taped off the entire bathroom with paper since it's a spray and gave it 3 light coats of this and after it dried thoroughly I painted 2 coats of paint. As soon as it dried....sure enough. It peeled right off in huge chunks. I'm tempted to just get rid of the cabinet by this point. So I can't say much to whether or not it works well on other items but if you came here thinking it would work for laminate or vinyl...the answer is no.

It covers and sands well.
Hused to paint a plastic bumper, and it works excellent, and I will use it again & again.
