Start to finish set of guitar tracks most folks will enjoy listening too. Those who are into Stevie Wonder will particularly enjoy their version of Contusion - an instrumental track originally found on Stevie's double disc, Songs in the key of life - Richie and Greg put their own unique twist on that track. The other eight tracks will also be enjoyable and the bass lines are brilliant too.

If you already like things like Frank Gambale, Brett Garsed, or Allan Holdsworth, I strongly suggest you check this out. The grooves are explosive, and they both bring plenty of aggression and fire, but not at the expense of musicality. There are some beautiful slash chord progressions there's more depth than you might expect.

Tilt is an all time favorite fusion album. Fun to listen Ritchie and Greg work together. Awesome album.

I also like tracks 6 & 2. Prog jazz fusion. Drummers will like.

The Stevie Wonder cover,(Contusion) is enough reason to buy this CD!OD,is another highlight track in my opinion.A shredder's delight from the 80's!

凄いギターバトルの応酬。ただ、全編それに尽きてて、どの曲も同じにしか聴こえない。兎に角、弾き倒してるだけってのも、ちょっとね〜

グレッグ・ハウ、リッチー・コッツエンという現代を代表するテクニカルギタリストの夢の共演アルバムである。楽曲は完全にグレッグの基本フィールドであるファンキーハードフュージョンを基調としたもの。ロックを基調とするリッチーには不利か？と思われるが、彼のポテンシャルはそんな次元では無いことが良く解かる。もともと、jazz・fusionより多大な影響も受けたリッチー故、ガスリー等ハイテクニカルギタリストの難解な楽曲での客演も有る。二重人格ぶりを発揮し、想像通りの凄まじい変態プレイを聞かせてくれる。リッチー名義のアルバムだと、オーソドックスなペンタトニックスケール多用の多少ブラックミュージックのスパイスを効かせたrockのイメージしかない。しかし、彼のhi－tech というギター奏法の解説映像を見れば解かるがjazzラインを創造するアルペジオライン奏法、グレッグも多用するペンタトニックスケールのジョイント奏法、そして彼の代名詞ノンピッキングのレガート奏法。その奏法より紡ぎ出される複雑なラインはグレックに似ているのである。違いはゲレッグがタッピングでやる部分を彼は左手だけでやってしまうくらいの違いであろう。グレックもリッチーにインスパイアーされたのか、120％のパワーで疾走している。エッジの効いたリアピックアップのグレック、ウオームなフロントピックアップのリッチー。音速ギタリストの共演アルバムと言えば、ホールズワースとギャンバレ／レーンとギャンバレのmvpが思い浮かぶが、この２作は企画物の匂いがする。しかし、このアルバムはオリジナル曲のみの２人の熱い音楽が聴ける名盤である。フュージョン系のみならずロックギターが好きな方にも是非聴いてもらいたい１枚である。

やっぱり安心して聞いていられる。実力者２人のタッグでいい緊張感があるように感じます。
