6N Toasted Hazelnut - Has a good amount of red
I'm still trying to figure out how to get a nice medium brown with warmth but not too much red. I will probably have to mix this 6N Toasted Hazelnut with a dark brown color as this color has more red than I'd like. Why are the Clairol color charts so unhelpful? I applied this color to my roots (hair was dry, not wet), and let it sit for 30 minutes. Was impressed that the color took nicely especially at the very light gray temples. The color is slowly fading with each wash as expected. I agree with another reviewer who commented that the product is not sealed under the cap, and that did make me uneasy. Not sure if it's supposed to be sealed.

It does a great job
I usually have highlights and low lights done professionally but because of this virus needed to do something with my gray hair at home. I am totally gray on top and brown underneath the back hair. I purchased the Hazelnut with trepidation because that was the lightest shade available in the gray covering line. I did NOT follow the directions exactly. I washed my hair, put on the product (not the entire bottle as suggested), made sure all my hair received the dye, and left it on for 15 minutes only. I then rinsed out the dye, shampooed my hair, put on conditioner, and dried it. I am very satisfied with the color especially since my husband didn't even notice what I had done.

Worked well for my gray
I have stubborn gray hair on only the left side of my head. I used this product but then realized if I left it on for 45 min instead of 25 min I get better results.

Poor Gray Hair Coverage
If you are looking for gray coverage, this is not the product for you. I am in my mid-thirties and have some, not many, gray hairs that this product failed to conceal.

Very tiny not easy to use hard to hold onto and washes out too easily

Decent sutble tinting, leave it on much longer than you think for better coverage
You really do need to leave it on a longer while to get much real change, even tho it looks like its going to be VERY DARK, it takes a long while to deposit in grey hairs.

Watery
Color seemed as if it was watered down. Not as strong of a color as my other purchases from Sally’s beauty supply store.
