Wood or resin? The question was asked with two separate answers given... So what is it really?

What material is the display plaque made of? Is it sturdy?

It’s sturdy and heavy. Not sure what it is made from. But I keep mine on a bookshelf, since it was so heavy

What is the best way to hang this?

I didn’t find a place to hang it that didn’t seem out of place, so I have mine on a ~5ft shelf with my books, and I placed my autographs around it. It really ties it together. Good luck!

Wonderful item - very real feel and look

This is a really wonderful item. The quality is astounding. The display itself is pretty heavy and feels "real". The wands are the best quality I've seen yet and that includes the wands at Universal. These wands feel like they're made of real wood - they're not. They're made of resin but they did such a good job they look and feel like real wood. As a potter fan who's bought a fair bit of stuff, this is an item that I'll treasure for years to come and proudly display.

Gorgeous Harry Potter wands

This is a beautiful set of wands from "Dumbledore's Army" members. They are so real, they look exactly as the real ones used at the movies. The only thing is they are delicate items, so I don't recommend them for little children (maybe over 10 is OK). Nontheless they are a great gift, my nieces and nephews have enjoyed them a lot!
