Good Product Glides well.
I haved used others, but this one is the best dolly that I own. It is much more sturdy. I replaced the wheels with the tripod track wheels and placed this on abs pipe made into a rectangle. The dolly really lives up to its name and does glide. The rail wheels work on a variety of different thickness tracks and this meant that I was not locked into a particular brand and could make my own dolly track for the SYL 960.The dolly wheels changed very easily but now on the dolly it will not fit into the bag, which is a bit of a shame. My bag now holds the unused wheels.Gliding is good - so good that I have to ensure that the track is absolutely level ( which is not a bad thing)The arms have a positive lock. The dolly does expand. I use it in its widest open position to get the tripod legs to be as wide as possible. Shortening the rails does provide for a narrower track - good for going through doors. The SYL 960 has its own curved track available elsewhere but I found it also worked well on plastic hosepipe designed for ponds 1.5 inches in diameter. I have used the product for several weeks now and it easily supports all my equipment and allows it to move easily.

Dolly wheels are sticky and squeaky
This product has the capability to phenomenal, great, simple idea and great price point, but the wheels for the dolly track are rubber rather than solid plastic, and consequently, they're very squeaky when used on readily-available PVC pipes (the cheapest and most accessible form of dolly track). To make matters worse, I had to reset and tighten/loosen (different for each wheel) almost every wheel to make it fluid enough, but not so loose that it rubbed against the metal bracket (thus turning each wheel into it's own involuntary brake!). Very frustrated and disappointed. Even after I'd spent 45 minutes re-setting the wheels, and even running on a pair of short metal poles (normally used as backdrop poles), the rubber wheels still created a slightly jerky, and sticky movement rather than a smooth and fluid one (which is the whole point of setting up a dolly and track in the first place). I'm on the lookout for 3 sets of solid, plastic wheels to replace the rubber ones, hoping to finally get what I thought I was paying for in the first place. If the manufacturers were to use solid plastic wheels instead of rubber, it would take care of the squeak, and the dolly would run smoothly without jerking. One more thing, the carry bag is a GREAT idea, but was built for the original dolly wheels only. It would be great to have a larger carry bag so that I don't need to remove the dolly wheels for bagged-transit.

Good, but no cigar
I bought this in conjunction with a Proaim 12ft Tripod Dolly Black Track (19mm dia)They are not compatible. The track is 2 inches wider that the widest spread of the DollyBe careful when buying two items from different manufacturers - check the compatibilityOnto the device itself. Nicely made, solid. no squeaks that other people have mentioned, but,If you put on the track wheels-you cannot get this into its own back - it's 30% too big! and you can't put the original wheels in the bag eitherTotally useless bagBuy it if you wish, but budget for bigger bag.

Well built
The tripod is steady and very well built. I have some very heavy cameras which made me wary before purchasing this tripod but I have no issues with it so far as it can slide around very easily. Thank you.
