Everything you need to replace Porsche Cayenne TPMS original part for 1/8th the cost
If you look for Porsche originals expect it I pay £7-800 for a set fitted for a Cayennethese are for 02-06 model year Cayenne, all models from S to Turbo to Turbo SLook on Renlist forums you find that Porsche parts are made by Beru or Huf which are actually the same companySo you could get them as OEM parts for some £400 a setthese Orotek parts are available in amazon.com Us site with delivery to the UK for just over £110 a set with deliverythis model 005 is the specific Cayenne variant and probably good for Touregs and others, but check if that is what you haveI found Renlist guys reporting these are exactly what they neededtPMS is now mandatory in the US and seems to have driven alternative parts like theseYou need to fit these items when the tyres are off, the rims will need cleaning and you simply insert he new valve nd nd body unitIt is ESSENTIAL to use a Torque Screwdriver to install these and use exactly 4.0 NM setting, the reason is that any more and you crack the plastic unit, any less and you risk them rattling apart over timeWorth thinking that even though this seems a bit fussy, the wheels are going to be doing very high speeds for 6 years of The battery life so you need to treat it as a serious installation spec.the bolt has a Torx bolt so check you have access to a setI chose to the the Draper torque screwdriver which was around £45 on eBay new but they cost anything up to £100 so perhaps borrow one or buy it on eBay then sell it afterwards for a small loss, or even profit :-)Don't worry about whether these are as accurate as the Porsche items, I am reading the exact pressures I would expect, yes they do change around, but so do the original Porsche items since temperature changes affect the value alla the time, as does the running temperature of heathy tyres in use. Finally, don't worry about programming the devices, they auto setup. You go to the dash settings on trip computer and select TPMS options and set "new tyres" it will go into learning mode for 5-10 miles and pop up the pressures when it's figured everything outFinal thought for you

New TPMS for a fraction of the cost
I have given these 4 stars instead of 5 because of the lack of instructions from the manufacturer. These sensors are a pretty easy swap and there were no problems installing them. However, there were some issues getting the car to "learn" with the new sensors.I have an '04 Touareg and as stated these are a direct replacement - the Touareg sensors operate on 433 Mhz, which is what these are - so no problems there. However, when the car went in to the "learn" mode it seemed to be stuck - although it could see the sensors it just wasn't able to read the data and so I still had a warning light on the dash I am very lucky to have a brilliant service manager at my local VW dealer and we were eventually able to solve the problem. It seems that older Touaregs can sometimes require the car to be driven upwards of 100 miles before it will learn and synch with the new sensors. Another reviewer here was lucky and only had to drive about 5 miles or so - which is what my system would do in the past. With these sensors on my car it took about 45 miles before everything was ironed out.The sensors did not come with any instructions or troubleshooting information - and the manufacturer's website isn't particularly user friendly. With that being said, once we identified what needed to be done everything else was pretty seamless. I have only had the sensors installed for a few days, so it's too early to give a long term opinion - but, so far, so good. If there had been more information available to ease the installation I would have rated the product a 5.In terms of value for money I give the sensors 5 stars as they are easily $150 or more cheaper than the OEM equipment.so, just be aware that your car may take some time and mileage to "learn" these sensors - you may get lucky like the other reviewer, or you may have to drive some distance. I still think it was worth it - we will see as time goes by how well they perform.

Working fine in our 04 Touareg, unbeatable price!
These sensors are working fine in our 04 VW Touareg. They are the same size as the oe sensor, and came with metal valve stem caps. Pairing was fairly easy. It did take 2 pairing attempts to get all 4 sensors registered, but I blame the VWs early TPMS not the sensors.I'll follow up with a report of how long they last (have 1000 miles on them so far).

04 Touareg V8
Purchased this TPMS sensor for 04 Touareg V8 with all the bells and whistles on the vehicle. We pull a travel trailer and original sensor batteries died. Did quite a bit of research including calling Oro-Tek for inexpensive replacements because dealership wanted over $1500 to replace all 4 sensors. We purchased Nokian WR G3 SUV tires for vehicle because we had excellent experiences with the Nokian WR G2 SUV tires, so while the new tires were being installed we opted to replace TPMS sensors now. These sensors Oro-Tek OBE-005 were manufactured in 2014 which was a little concerning but installed on vehicle. After using the vehicles "mon. pressure" and then "store" (people with this year vehicle should understand what that means) and then I driving vehicle for about 15 minutes or approximately 10 miles the warning light in the vehicle went off and it so far is fine. I did also purchase the OBE-011A gen II sensors because Oro-Tek USA stated those are now the replacements because they have discontinued the OBE-005 and haven't manufactured the OBE-005 in several years but the battery should still be good as long as they were not synced to anything as they are not transmitting and using the battery.
