Great replacement speakers for your old school cabinets
Edited - I bought a pair of these to replace the woofers in my old (1996 made) Sony SS-U6033 3 way fronts. The old ones foam had rotted away.... (on the woofers) and since I rarely take the fabric grills off, I only noticed when the sound became distorted. Then whoa, pile of foam! These are great speakers for the price. My installation was a bit more involved - they did not drop right into the old Sony cabinet hole - Those old Sony woofers are actually around 11" , so I had to cut a little of the cabinet hole for this to fit. YMMV.(and that is actually a thing - Sony had some oddball dimensions back then.A little bit of jigsaw work, and I got one done today. Sound is nice, low and mid tones come through where they should - using the little cap crossover that was in the stock cabinet, I'm impressed. My old drivers had the small and standard connector - so I did have to snip one off, and solder on the proper terminal for these. (which is no fault of this manufacturer.... old stuff sometimes is that way.)These are good. One more to do, and I'll crank it up.------Edit:Got the other cabinet cut today, and installed the speaker. Real quick run of some test tones on the pair, and some level adjustments on the 4.1 system I have, sounds great.

Great sound and value
I bought these to replace the completely blown out woofers in my 1978 Cerwin Vega cabinet speakers from college. They dropped right in and ready to go in 10 minutes. Put the bassiest CD on and what a pleasant surprise! No more rattle! Great value and fast shipping.

Great for music!
Don’t mind the dog hair, I have two shepherds lol. I bought two of these to build a sealed box, wired for 4ohm, powered by a Fosi sub amp and for music, (I am a metal head) these rock and really pressurize my smallish man cave (about 10’x15’) much better than two ported Polk subs I replaced. For movies, they bottom out with the really low frequencies (sub 50mhz) but, again, for music they pound and well worth the money.

Killer Price, Easy Install and Great Results
I love these woofers!Summary:- Used in Pioneer CS-G303 cabinet (replaced original woofer, but still using original midrange and tweeter) - see photo- A Sony STRDH130 2 Channel Stereo Receiver is being used to drive themI bought these woofers to replace my aging and deteriorating Pioneer ones, which were approaching 30 years old. Not a bad run, but they were showing their age. These GRS (Parts Express) woofers didn't exactly fit in the Pioneer cabinets due to the inner bevel - the cut-out needed to be enlarged about 1/16th of an inch. Once that was set, they fit perfectly. These speakers are used in my garage, so they're purely for casual listening. With that said, I was kind of shocked at just how good they sounded. They have a tighter feel along with a slight bump in the low end compared to the old ones. Using a sample tone album I found on Spotify (search for the album "Audio Test Tones") I was able to get a great response down to 40Hz, but once I got below that it drops off quickly. 30Hz barely registered. Your mileage may vary depending on the enclosure you install these in and the amp you use. I use these speakers only for music, so this is more than good enough. I've listened to these for about 10 hours and they had no issue playing loud for long periods (3 or 4 straight hours).Spending a little money on these woofers I'm hopeful I've extended the lifespan of these old Pioneer speakers for many more years to come. Highly recommended!

They are perfect for home theater use, even in diy cabinets, not just replacements!
Bought this old stereo console couple years ago(it worked, but I bought it with intentions of converting it to my will, lol) to start my home theater project. Last year, ordered these subs to run in parallel for a 4 ohm impedance. My receiver happens to have a powered sub output using a smaller driver(high end older Sony 6" driver). Not enough lower end from that poor old sub, it works great for mid bass down to around 50hz, still going to use THAT with center channel now to fill front stage a little better. Pre broke these in using a cheap box I've had for years in my truck(used as midbass, seeing 50 watt rms 8 ohms per woofer in my truck off of mid range amplifier, I have a competition woofer already in it, no need to blow them on sub amplifier). They sounded awesome as midbass! Want to buy more of these for my truck, too! Now finally applying these woofers to my home theater sub cabinet. Used cut off wood peices from other projects over the years, so all wood and screws and glue were pretty much free, as I keep tons of glue and fasteners on hand for all my projects. One chamber is sealed, 50% poly filled. Other is ported(22 hz tune), port down firing also with both subsface down to turn entire underside into a 6th and 4th order cabinet. Putting these in 6th and 4th orders allows woofers to hit below resonate frequency, efficiently. And cover alot of bandwidth. This sub WILL hit below 25 Hz in proper tuned enclosure, tested with simple frequency generator app. Cabinet is getting a paint job, most definitely! Lol, its so ugly! Less than 50 bucks to put a huge smile on my face while watching movies, YOU BET! OH, And I still retained the space in top( these old consoles usually have around 5 cubic feet plus,, more than enough space for 2 12 inch drivers)that opens for blankets, wheres my popcorn?
