Ford Genuine 1L3Z-13550-BA License Plate Lamp Assembly

Noticed someone helped themselves to one of mine, checked Amazon and was able to replace it very easily. Not issues, perfect fit (bulb included). Highly recommend.

Amazon said this license plate light did not fit a 2013 F150. According to another car part warehouse who was $18 higher had the exact same part number on the light as Amazon. I ordered it from Amazon anyways and after the light arrive I installed it. It fit perfectly and had full functionality.

Do not buy the knock offs........they will not fit with some f-150 's........These lights are Ford parts and just snap into the old socket and snap into the bumper...........very easy and the correct part. Cost more than the others but these WORK !

While I found another model number that supposedly fit a 2001 F150 supercrew, I chose this particular one because the photo matched what was on the truck. I think perhaps both might fit but I went with what was currently attached to the bumper. This one fit fine, plug and play. It even came with a lightbulb!

I thought that this might be an aftermarket piece, but it was the actual Motorcraft OEM part. Comes with 3 pieces: (1) the black plastic, twist off lens, (2) grey plastic intermediate connector that goes between the vehicle harness and the black plastic lens, and (3) a pre-installed new bulb.As a side note, the seals on these units, factory or not, tend to not be very great at keeping water out of the area with the bulb. I put a bit of dielectric grease in the slot for the bulb, and a bit around the seal on the circular area that seals the black cap to the grey body to keep moisture out.

Originally I used dorman, bit mistake, they didn't last 18 months before the outer shield fell off, due to poor glue job. Then I wanted to be all modern and installed led lamps, the wiring dongles broke due to vibration in less than a year. SO these OEM lamps were installed and yeehaw, holding up very well. I drive about 7 miles on rough dirt/gravel/ bedrock road every day.

This is the part to buy if you have to replace your tag light on an 04-08 F150. I can't speak for other models but it is the OEM part for these trucks and the fit and finish is awesome. It also comes with a bulb installed (that I did not know about prior to ordering the bulbs) simply plug it in and youre good to go. Highly recommend this one over the other aftermarket ones.
