Great Trimmer
I wasn't sure if it would suit my needs, but I am very happy with it.I upgraded from a inexpensive Toro weed eater which gave up on me after using it with another trimmer head (bigger, longer strings). The Husqvarna was able to handle the different head with no problem. The reason why I switched the head even on the Husqvarna is, that I wanted an easier way to restring the head. The head I'm using uses 3 strings you can push in from the outside instead of having to deal with the spool all the time. Look at Home Depot if you're interested.Back to the trimmer - I love how quite it is compared to the Toro. But I still use ear protection.I used it to do the edging on our St. Augustine lawn and also to trim around the tree rings and along the fence line.I was concerned that this trimmer wouldn't quite work for edging, but it does the job just fine. It's nice having the power available - makes edging much easier.

Surprised By Performance
Well, this is my second 4 stroke string trimmer but the 4 stroke engine is where the similarities end. I went through 2 shaft bearings in 3 years with the Troy Built. This may be because it was a multi-attachment tool and not just a trimmer. The power is more than enough to take down the high weeds behind my garage and it takes out a wide area. I have seen complaints about the line feed system and honestly I did have a problem on my first use because the line was not threaded correctly but since I fixed that I have had no issues. By the way it was very easy to thread you just hook the center of the line and wind it up, very clever. I have stone edging around all beds all around my house and along the fence and have had trouble with the old trimmer scalping the grass but this one is much more easy to control. And not having to mix oil and gas is big factor for me as I will never buy another 2 stroke product if I can avoid it.(I still have to spend and hour working on my 2 stroke chain saw every time I want to use it) So far it has started with a maximum of two pulls when primed as per the instructions. It does not shake anywhere near as much as my old trimmer but it can still leave you a little numb if you use it on high speeds for long periods. I found it to be very light and well balanced. I am 6'2 so the long shaft keeps me from bending over which reduces fatigue. It came ready to use right out of the box I just had to install the grass deflector so I think the problems people had in the earlier reviews having to push the shaft down have been addressed by Husqvarna. Nice to know a company actually listens right? Just wish I could get the hang of edging with a string trimmer so I would not have to pull out my gas edger but that's my burden to bear!

Good trimmer after rocky start.
Let me start off by saying I love this trimmer! Although it took two trimmers being sent to me to get it right. The first one that was sent to me stopped working after 20 minuets use. The process to get a replacement went fast and easy. After a weeks delay I was back in business and cutting grass. The replacement works great. Easy to use and cuts well. The engine is way more quite then the two stroke it replaced. It cuts with more then enough power. Overall a superior product. Only thing that is a concern is cost . But as they say " you get what you pay for."

Excellent Trimmer
Excellent trimmer. I had no issues at all. Assembly was easy. Attach cutter gaurd, fill with oil and fuel and ready to go. Easy to start.Starts on 1st or 2nd pull. This replaced a cheaper 2 stroke WeedEater brand trimmer. I was actually surprised at how quite the Honda Engine is. And secondly how smooth it is. Its a well balanced machine, and when running you can barely feel it. You do feel the torque when you throttle it up and the trimming head starts to spin. It will give a slight twist then it smooths out again. But nothing major, just noticable.Haven't got to use it very much just yet, but so far excellent. Lots of power, quite, and runs smooth as can be.I always thought 300+ for a trimmer was just ridiculous. But having heard this trimmer get a lot of praise I thought Id take the chance and see what all the fuss was about. My opinion has changed. You get what you pay for and this one is certainly worth it.

Best string trimmer I have ever used!
Basically ready to use out of box. Very easy to start. Thought it might not be powerful compared to numerous previous weed trimmers I have had over the years since it was very quiet with minimal vibration. I was wrong. I have only used it 4 times but it has already paid for itself with the time I have saved using it. I live on 4 acres and was able to accomplish more trimming in half an hour with this trimmer than I would accomplish in several hours with previous trimmers. I went through 4 tanks of gas before I had to replace the string. Previous trimmers would always get the string pulled out when something was too thick. This model simply glides past what it won't cut, and what it won't cut has to be significant saplings. It slices through weeds other trimmers won't touch. Also, I have a lot of tall grass and Asian Jasmine that used to tangle around the head and kill the engines of other trimmers. Hasn't happened once with this trimmer. Also, I am very pleased with how light it is. I would however, strongly recommend a full face shield when cutting weeds other than grass as there is an extreme amount of splatter with pulpy or leafy weeds.

Worth the Money!
Great trimmer! I decided to spend a little extra on the Husqvarna because I was tired of replacing my weed-eaters seemingly every year. Assembly is limited and easy. Started on 2nd pull. Smooth is the best way to describe the engine. As for performance, it has no trouble with my 1/2 acre yard. You definitely need the safety glasses when cutting tall weeds - it shreds them. The trimmer is heavy, so I would advise investing in a shoulder strap. I wish I had invested in a similar trimmer years ago.
