I have been a fan of Harper Sloan's since I read the first book of her Corps Security series, Axel. She impressed me with her writing style, over the top alpha males, and feisty, sassy females. I'll admit, I went into this book with a tiny bit of trepidation. I just wasn't sure I could see Cohen as anything other than the cape-wearing, smart as a whip little boy who worshipped Greg Cage. (I know, crazy, right?) I'm also not too proud to admit that I didn't even get through the prologue before Ms. Sloan had me sold on Cohen as a sexy, strong hero in the Corps Security vain. She has outdone herself with Cohen and has forged him into the swoon-worthy, sexy, strong male lead that he deserved to be.Ms. Sloan is an incredibly talented, masterful storyteller. She gives her readers likable characters with such depth and detail and she gives us their full back ground. Her plots are exciting, interesting, creative and intensely sexy and romantic. This book kicks off what promises to be yet another stellar series, and I'm looking forward to reading anything and everything from the exceptional Harper Sloan. Without question, she is an auto buy author for me.

***I received a copy of this book from the author in exchange for an honest review!***This book! This series! Gah! Harper has done it again! I freaking loved this book so hard! I was addicted right from the beginning, and I stayed up all night reading it because I was desperate for more Dani and Cohen. I have loved every single book that Harper has written, they have all been 5 star reads for me, yet somehow she makes you fall more in love every time. Just when you think you know who your favorite is she writes a new book with a new couple that are to die for. I am not ashamed to say that I have a total girl-crush on Harper. She is one of my all-time favorite authors and an automatic one-click for me.One of the things that I love best about this author is that she has a true talent for blending humor, sadness, and suspense so effortlessly into every single book. I love books that make me laugh out loud one minute, and make me cry the next. Every book that I have read by this author has touched my heart in such a profound manner. She is amazing at creating characters that you love, love to hate, want to be with, want to be friends with, and want to have as your family.Dani was so sweet. I loved that she was shy and a hopeless romantic. She knew from a young age that she wanted Cohen. She never once wavered from that desire. She had the balls to put herself out there, and hope that Cohen would finally realize what had been in front of him all along. One of the things I love best about Dani was her strength and loyalty. She was an amazing friend, and she was willing to wait for Cohen as long as it took. Many people can't handle long distance relationships, but she proved that nothing is impossible when you love someone.Cohen was a strong man who stood his ground, even in the face of extreme danger, like facing down Axel when he decided to pursue Dani. Having struggled with his feelings for Dani his whole life, he kept pushing her away when he knew that she wanted something more than friendship with him. The only problem is that you can only push someone away for so long before you give in. These two were clearly meant to be together, and nothing and no one could keep them apart. I loved that even though the two were separated for a bit, they continued to think of each other. To dream of each other. To yearn for each other. They never once gave up on the other.While Cohen was facing down bad guys, Dani was left behind to face down her father; however, if anyone could go up against Axel Reid, it was his little princess. I absolutely loved the relationship between the two. Even as crazy over the top possessive as he is, Axel is the dad that I always wanted. He wanted nothing more than the best for his family, and even when he went about it the wrong way, it was clear that he always did it with love in his heart. I loved the fact that the couples we fell in love with in the Corps Security Series make an appearance. Even though some are only in their briefly, Axel and Izzy are around a lot. We also get another fan favorite in the form of the marvelous Sway! He is still rocking that glitter!I really enjoyed the story line in the book. I liked the build up and the wait for Cohen and Dani to get together. I loved the way they were when they were with each other. The sexy times were outrageously HOT! You will not think of Cohen as a little boy anymore. He was all ALPHA male, and he certainly knew how to take care of his woman.I always enjoy a book that is written in a dual POV! It's always more interesting to me to know what both people are thinking. Not only does it give you a better idea of who each person is, but it almost always results in some pretty funny moments.I thought that the ending was brilliant, and I look forward to the next book in the series. It is definitely going on my favorites shelf, and I cannot recommend this book enough!! It is a must read!! You will not regret following Dani and Cohen's journey!!

Read in February 2015oh my god! where to start, I love the corps security series. its one of the best ive ever read. I fell in love with cohen right from the beginning when he was a tiny toddler, with his love of superheros and his funny comments. I fell even more in love with him as an adult. if you love alpha males with an inner vulnerability these stories are for you. they make you laugh, cry, get hot (very sexy) and fall in love with each and every character from start to finish. all I can add is I am hoping theres more to come. please pretty please harper

I enjoyed this story about Danielle Reid (Axel & Isabelle Reid - Axel) and Cohen Cage (Greg & Melissa Cage). I enjoyed their journey to them finding their happy ever after.

I have loved the Corps Security series so I was so excited when we got to follow the lives of the children in the Hope Town series. Cohen was one of my faves his heart was so special so knowing that his and Dani’s story was first was the best news ever.Dani has loved Cohen Cage for as long as she can remember, never hiding her feelings but knowing that she can never have the only guy she will ever want. He has been one of her closet friends her whole life and their parents are the best of friends so their love could cause complications, especially with her dad being the overprotective and over bearing Axel. It was great to see him as a father looking after his little princess. Dani knows that she will only ever want Cohen Cage but she can only take his rejection for so long before she decide that she should move on.Cohen Cage has love Dani Reid for years and even though she told him she would wait for him never really thought that the rambling of a teenage girl would ever be true. But after returning home after his latest deployment his feelings for Dani have not diminished, having never acted on his true feelings for Dani using excuses of their 5 year age gap and their family relationships as a reason that they cannot be together, that is until his leaving party when neither he nor Dani can deny their feelings or the electricity that they get from each other. They spend a magical night together before he has to leave for his latest mission both promising each other that they will be together when he returns. But with Dani now in danger and Cohen away on a mission can they be together and happy with all odds stacked against them and a little surprise waiting on Cohen’s return……Loved seeing Axel Reid as a dad he was exactly as expected over the top protective, over bearing and hilarious when it comes to any man near his baby girl. And when Cohen and Dani finally get together and she gets a look at his jewellery collection he really did follow in Greg’s footsteps.If you enjoyed the Corps Security books you will love this, it’s a story of family, friendship and love with intrigue, danger, sweet and sexy thrown in. Highly recommended.

Well she did it again. I knew she would because she is brilliant at writing her Alpha males. WOW.... We first learnt about Cohen in Cage and we all fell in love with the adorable and cute superhero with his red cape. Well this adorable and cute superhero morphed in to one sexy ass ,handsome dirty mouthed superhero who didn't just rock Dani- girls world but he rocked mine to. He was more alpha male then I expected I never fought anyone would replace Axel Reid ( my all time favourite Alpha male ever) But Cohen cage was up there with the big boy. Strong , possessive and took care of his woman when he could. Showed how much his woman meant to him and would do anything he had to do to protect her.The chemistry between Cohen and Danielle was fantastic. I felt everything and willed for them to be together. They were destined to be together and came together perfectly.The book itself although a new series introduced the new characters with the old and the fact that we get to see a lot of the old characters from corps security and a lot of Axel Reids alpha male tenderises it also got me excited for all the other characters I would love to see unfold. Both male and female characters that I know this brilliant Author can deliver to us.If you loved Cage and his jewellery you will not be disappointed in Cohen Cages Crown jewel. Damn just thinking of it works me up.This author is one of my favourite authors and I will continue to support her as I know that every time she takes pen to paper ( or key to screen ) I know she is going to be aiming to make her next book even more than the last one. She gives us more and more every time. I don't need a blurb to one click this author because I know I will devour whatever book she gives me within hours. I also know that she will make me fall in love with her next characters and the ones that surround them.Fantastic 5 star read that deserves so much more . Thanks again Harper Sloan for yet another amazing book. You rock my world girlie ! X

Holy Catfish! He is all man!Absolutely loved grown up Cohen, love the cap crusading moments as we start on Cohen and Dani's romance.They were so great together, they 'got' each other, even though they pussy footed around each other for years.Cohen followed in his papa's footsteps and became a Marine, a real life Hero.The other 'kids' have all been good friends which is lovely to see. Nate made me laugh loudly, especially waking Dani up!I liked the prologue with Axel, the over protective and over bearing parent; scaring all prospective boyfriends away, it seemed Cohen and Dani were destined to be together, he was there for her every step of the way for every teenage milestone especially her prom.Ooh; Sway! don't you just love him, only Sway would have a reality show being filmed in his salon. Nice to know he is still as crazy as ever and all his meddling.Chance, seems a good guy, hopefully we'll get more of him, obviously he has a few PTSD problems, but he comes across as a good boy!Cohen and Dani were explosive, once the got together, I thought I needed an extra fan, so hot.I was not expecting Dani to have all that Drama surrounding her, and as scary as it was she handled it like a pro, OK OK her over protective family were there for her, but she dealt with everything really well, even without Chen being there.I was so relieved when Cohen said it was his last tour, he was certainly an-upstanding man; and felt so sorry for him blaming himself for not being able to protect Dani, and of course poor Chance when everything went down.Loved getting more of the original CS boys plus the addition of the new characters, a great combination.You could tell Cohen loved Dani with the strength of a 100 elephants, and she loved him as as fierce. I loved the surprises we encountered along with way, and so pleased with how it all turned out.
