iPhone 5/5s/5c - Antiglare/Matte Screen Protector - for New iPhone 5s and 5c

This is a fine product, but it doesn't seem all that great compared to the other matte screen protectors I've gotten for my other devices. And the fact that it comes with only one protector should warrant a lower price in my opinion. I would advise buyers to use the video instructions (as I did not), so you're aware of how to use the dust remover sheet that is supposed to be applied beforehand and removed as the main protector goes on.One other complaint: the cutout for the front camera and speaker was off-center on the protector I got. It is shifted to the left about four millimeters, which isn't enough to cover either component, but enough to look ill-fitting, and I find the asymmetry annoying. So between this and the single protector I give this product only three stars.UPDATE: Sir Lancelot responded to my comments about the off-center cutout by stating that this is done purposefully, as per Apple's spec regarding the light sensor. This may be so, but it would look better if the cutout was sized so as to make the open space on the right equal to that on the left. Just my 2 cents. Added back a star.

Got this based on reviews but I guess it's not really for everyone. The protector does distort the beauty of the retina display greatly, totally anticipated distortion but not this bad. Almost got the screen protector on perfectly, did steam and tape but despite all that I got dusts. Ok so I got dust no big deal I used the tab tape things that help peel the screen protector to spot remove the dust. I tediously did that and I get to home button and the it becomes difficult to lift no matter how many times you repeatedly stick it. I think it's because of the cutout of this part of screen protector being a horseshoe shape so it doesn't fully cover around the home button. Well anyway some how manage to get it up only to have the bloody thing come down and bend itself and now it has a permanent bubble at this spot. It sucks but I'll live with it for a month or two and then replace the damn thing with anti glare and less distortion. If there wasn't that bend than I might have been more pleased and possibly given a four star review even though there is a huge distortion of the retina display. Sadly, the naked screen kind of resists my finger sliding sometimes and the protector slides with no resistance.

There were too many distortions (for my eye) when i put it on... I have a 3GS with a matte protector, but this took the quality of the 5 down to that level, so I didn't like it. A good matte protector is really really hard to find. I agree w/ the seller that if you buy the cheaper ones, they are even worse (I bought a 3 pack for $5 that looked awful-- way worse than this). At least this brand is cut this properly & the material is quite sturdy. I just have sensitive eyes bc I read a lot on the phone...and reading black text on white is hard w/ these matte screens unless you try a few out. I'm trying to find the brand on my 3GS but I got it for like $25 at the apple store...rip off but I might not have a choice.As an update - I did settle on the same screen I had on my 3GS and prefer that one. That one is called: Power Support HD Anti-Glare Films. They are also cut properly but slightly thinner.

Ever since I have owned an iPhone, I hase used antiglare/matte screen protectors. While they do diminish the image quality slightly (not as bright), they are a lifesaver outdoors or in bright-lit rooms where you otherwise get reflections off of the shiny glass screen.My best advice, though, is to order an extra one. I have gotten pretty good at applying these, but I invariably need a second one because I get dust underneath the first, or just can't get it applied right.Also, to apply these easier, spray a mixture of water with a drop of dish soap mixed in between the protector and the screen, as well as on your fingers. Then use the squeegee to press out the water mixture and air bubbles. Plus, do not touch the backside during installation, the oil on your fingers will cause problems. I have found that placing a small post-it note on the non-installation side helps moving the protector during installation to avoid touching the bvackside.Overall, excellent product.

I'm usually pretty good at this. But ... despite following instructions right down to the vendor's hint to affix in a slightly steamy bathroom, I was still on my 13th or so attempt to get air bubbles out, when, crap - the sticky part dropped onto the towel.So, the protector was trash, and I was out $10 and 20 minutes' effort. Not wanting to go thru the process again, I went to Best Buy, paid $ extra, had the geeks affix the screen protector I bought there (and now have a life-of-the-phone guarantee for replacement and geek-reinstall, if needed).3 stars is because the product looked pretty good on (such as it was with random bubbles each "try") despite my eventual failure.

An excellent screen protector for the iPhone 5. It's a shame to put any protection on such a beautiful screen but I prefer to be able to put it in a pocket with keys and other items that might scratch it and so on. I prefer to sacrifice a little bit for the peace of mind. But with the Sir Lancelot Armor screen protector that sacrifice is very little and there are some advantages over the plain screen in terms of fingerprint resistance and glare protection. The screen protector is very easy to apply and once it's on you really forget it's there. But it is there and the screen is protected. The customer service backing up this product is exceptional. Better than one could reasonably expect. The price is very fair. You can get cheaper ones but that's what they are, in every sense of the word. So I'm delighted.
