Frustrating to work with
First off I want to say if you are starting out from nothing and you really want this brand, go ahead and buy the 24-pack, there is more varieties in brown, blues, and reds. I really wanted to give five stars but I just couldn't. This brand is specifically at beginner level for this art medium which I found to be frustrating and discouraging upon continuing to learn into the watercolor style. I don't know if student quality reeves is meant for art students or literally kids around 6-14 years old.I want to add I am not a student or art professional, I am a hobbyist who enjoys making watercolor cards for friends and family. I already have experience with watercolor pencils and dry squares of watercolor paint. I bought these on a budget but if you want your art to shine I would go up in price for a better brand overall, I wouldn't even call these student quality. I have done the beginner leaf practice two different times now along with other several practice drawing in adding color in the dry method and painting in a down motion slowly allowing a wet area to add more color as you go (ideal for blending), I hate the results of this paint.Pro's-Cheap (can be con as well)-Quicker for making background colors than dried squares- not having to work with a lot of water to give out color.-Mistakes can be blended in with more water later after drying-TransparentCon's-Doesn't blend in well for wet or dry method-Tubes are partially dry or giving out water (assuming it's water since oil and water don't mix) on first use, making it difficult to get a different variation in color.-Difficult to work withMutual-Pencil marks can't be erased after using this watercolor paint (expected with watercolor)I can't wait to use all these tubes up so I can justify buying a better brand (for card making). I wouldn't give these to anyone serious about art in high school or up, you might just make them hate watercolor paint. Just a little heads up when looking up watercolor paint after trying to figure out what was wrong with my material or methods, I found out that art schools ask for Cotman Winsor Netwon or Grumbacher Academy.

So, so, so happy for this set
The price for this set is amazing. The colors are amazing too. The tubes are rather small. They fit in the palm of your hand (well my hands are small as a female) or rather the average male hand. BUT....they last a long time. I ordered my first batch of these about a year ago and just recently as well and the previous set have still lasted! I painted about 6 or 7 paintings/canvases sized 16x24. For the price, they are really really worth it. The colors you get are titanium white crimson, raw umber, ultramarine blue, lemon yellow, light green, phthalo blue , deep yellow, violet, medium yellow, phthalo green, burnt sienna, yellow ochre, brilliant red, grass green, cerulean blue, flesh tint, orange, vermillion, blue lake, mars black, viridian hue, burnt umber and paynes gray. Now to paint anything really, most artists dont even need all these colors. But that is not to say that these colors dont come in handy. ESPECIALLY if you are a beginner or novice or just not the greatest picasso. The other extra colors really can take your painting up a notch. I am more of a graphite or pencil drawing/portrait drawing artist but I decided to try painting since it striked me fancy one random morning. I had coupons to Michaels for cheap canvases and decided to try my hand at painting landscapes. I am happy to say these were my first 2 paintings and I used Reeves painting set. Honestly, I got lots of compliments even with my horrible painting ability (Lol) but more importantly it was therapeutic and I learned a lot from just mixing the colors together. I gave my first painting to my husband. The best part of all this I would have to say, is, the ability to have whatever color you need on hand as opposed to having to mix it up. I really wish the tubes came in a bigger size but you have to understand, because of the wide array/selection of colors, the tubes will be small unless they charge an extra zero at the end of the actual price.I was going to order a few more before the company or amazon realizes the worth and ups the price.

Great Set, Well-Made Tubes
These are my second set of oil paints. I first purchased these US Art Supply 12ML Oil Tube Artist Paint Set (24-Tubes) which were pretty good but the tubes leaked. I decided to try these, and I'm very happy with them! The colors are clearly marked on each tube, they aren't pasted on, but printed on the plastic while the other set has a small label (with weak adhesive) with color name on each that really made it hard to identify the colors. The others paints also leaked and made a huge mess in the container I placed them in, which was a pain to clean. These are well-sealed and do not leak. A spot of oil comes out of every tube when used for the first time, but otherwise, the are not messy or oily. The selection of colors is very good, similar to the first paint set. My only problem with the color choices is that there isn't enough green which makes it rather hard to get various bright colors after the white runs out (and boy does in run out quick). I suggest purchasing a supplementary tube of white paint to help with that problem. With enough white, the colors are great allowing for you to mix nearly any shade you like. The quality of these paints is very good and easy to use. Overall, I really like this set and will be buying another when I run out. The colors and quality is roughly comparable to the first set I purchased, but the tubes of this set are much better, it's worth a few extra dollars and one extra star!

Tintas duras
