Thought id write a review as the product worked well. Stopped someone who attempted to cut and prey it to take a bike on my car . Greatful it worked well and prevented it .

bike thieves use a construction grade drill with diamond edged disk to cut through cables.. this thing will, I'm sure, deliver the exact same degree of security as the $32 lock and cable they cut last week, or the $54 one I bought and returned.chain your bike to your leg, and I still wouldn't warrantee against theft of the bike or the leg.

The lock is priced well, easy to use and easy to reset. It’s also a pretty beefy cable compared to others in the price range. My gripe is with quality consistency. I ordered 2 locks and had to replace both of them. The first messed up as soon as I changed the combination. It wouldn’t lock all the way, nor would it unlock it was just stuck halfway together. The second one had some issue with the dials. So, my advice: before putting it on your bike, reset the combination and test it out by spinning all of the dials; and then lock it and unlock it several times. If that all checks out, then it’s a pretty good lock. Note: The recoiling feature makes it take a little more effort to wrap the cable around things, but it keeps it compact when storing. (My boys just wrap it around the frame instead of using the mounting bracket.)

This is sturdy and does the job. My only complaint is that the unlock combo changes pretty easy. We had one code set, and now the code is a few numbers different, because if you throw it in your backpack without re-connecting it, it's very easy for the unlock combo to change - which can be a little stressful if you've locked it. The solution is to always connect it when it's stored, then you don't have to worry about that.

This is a really great find here on Amazon, the price is awesome for this caliber of bike lock. I've searched everywhere for a bike lock with these features because they're antitheft. So to find one at this price is a steal. I'm thinking about stocking up.

I have been looking for a cable lock such as this for many months, but most of the ones I saw would not accomplish the security that I was looking for. I saw this particular cable lock on Amazon and decided to try it. It is well-made, even change the digital code and shows superior strength the others that I looked at. This is the perfect addition looking for security and simplicity securing their bike!

Works as needed. No complaints. Be careful installing "lock holder" that it doesn't pinch brake lines... Made that mistake...

I looked at the features and reviews of several bicycle locks.Basically you’ll need to choose between a keyed lock and a digital combination.For me, not having to carry a key is a no-brainer. So, I chose this particular combination lock based mostly on the price.It works great and was half the price of many other locks.It was a good decision and I recommend it to anyone on a budget.
