Excellent bird feeders
We were having trouble with large birds and the odd squirrel. These have sorted the problem. They are great quality and cheaper than those I have seen at garden centres. Some mentioned difficulty with the lids which turn to lock in place, I haven’t found this an issue at all. Very pleased with this purchase.

Good and sturdy
I have several of these in my garden and they are good to stop the squirrels from getting to the nuts or seed except the lid is a major fault, The squirrels can open it easily so I have to wire the lid shut. The squirrels once they have the lid off they just helps themselves. Shame also you cannot get replacement plastic cylinders which hold the food as this is not metal and eventually breaks and leaves the rest which has nothing wrong with it .

Quality Product
Well made, sturdy, can jet wash the bird poo! - defo squirrel proof - resistant to attack by crows, magpies and rats! - don't get build-up of gunk at the base of the feed funnel! - took me a little while to get used to the unlocking mechanism (top lid turn clockwise, base lid counter-clockwise) - designed to last - better value than the cheaper, lightweight alternatives which just get wrecked in one season

Good Quality But Poor Design
We don't get squirrels in the garden, but we do get a good number of wood pigeons as well as far too many feral pigeons. The latter were possibly homing pigeons that were released after neighbouring allotments were vacated. To prevent food put out for smaller birds being eaten by the marauding gannets, we decided to treat ourselves to a set of these feeders at Christmas 2022They proved to be rather disappointing as well as a waste of money. They are very well made, which is reflected in the price, however, we found that the only birds that could use them were tits. The bars of the cage proved to be too close together for the likes of hedge sparrows, which we have in great numbers, so the majority of the food went untouched.

Good quality bird feeders - recommended
I already had a branded version and as that worked so well in keeping our local squirrel off the peanuts, I wanted to get the seed and fat ball feeders in the same design but the price was prohibitive. This set of three is fantastic value for money and I honestly cannot see any differenc AT ALL between these and the well known brand version apart from the significantly lower price. The cages have enough space inside for small birds to move around freely - which means enough space between the outside of the cage and the feeder tube to stop squirrels and larger birds like starlings and jackdaws getting their heads through far enough to reach the feed. So far, so good!

Be careful if you need to return item..
I bought a set of three bird feeders from this company and will not buy from them again. The feeders arrived in a slightly flimsy cardboard box and when I took them out, found that one of them had a top that had not been sprayed properly, but did not regard this as a serious problem. The lids for the feeders all have bayonet fittings; you have to line up the lid with the feeder, press down and turn to either open or close. Unfortunately, the prongs and the bayonet cut outs on the lids did not line up correctly and were difficult to open or close. They are heavy items and with feed inside, would be even heavier. Because the lids did not align properly, they kept coming off and despite them supposedly being squirrel proof, think their contents would have ended up on the floor once one of the critters got hold of it.I sent a message to the buyer who asked for a photo, but there was nothing to show. No damage, just a bad construction. My account then said that the return request was approved. When I viewed the return label and instructions, they were a little confusing.‘Instructions from Garden Selections’ ‘Do not return the item to us, no return postage will be refunded to you’. However, the return mailing label on the same pdf was Garden Selections, Dorset and a further paragraph said, ‘please note that the return postage will be added to your refund if the return is a result of our error’, which it was, so I had no concerns. It then said, ‘if you can’t use the label or carrier provided by Garden Selections, you can send your return package using a carrier of your choice. You’ll need to pay for return postage costs’.This was all a little confusing, so I informed them of what I was doing, used the same couriers they used to deliver and then returned the package. They then refunded the cost, but not the postage, saying that I had not followed the guidelines by sending a photo first, which I didn’t as there was nothing to verify the problem that I could actually take a photo of and I’d already received a ‘return request approved’ message which assured me that all was well.I asked them why they hadn’t refunded the postage and they said that I should not have returned the package to them and should have followed the instructions, which I said I thought I had, because they were difficult to understand. This was a genuinely confusing set of instructions and I have never had any problem returning items bought through Amazon before. Instead of being understanding and fair they ignored my requests. The feeders were faulty, I received no apology from them for this, I paid for the items to be returned at my own expense, informed them of what I had done, confirmed that they had received them, and they just walked away from me. It was not until I informed Amazon as to what had happened that the company eventually gave me half of what I paid in postage and even then, they said it was a goodwill gesture, which it was definitely not. I have bought from many great independent companies, a lot of them small operations that provide a good product and good service. How long this one has been going for or will survive is to be seen, but you have been warned.

They work (with the help of a screw)!
Very pleased with these 3 birdfeeders. They have kept the magpies & jackdaws away. After 2 weeks the squirrels managed to undo the bayonet on the cage collar so the cage & feeder fell to ground spilling the peanuts. We have put a screw in it and although they keep coming they just can't figure out how to raid it now! We have lots of small birds coming - delightful to watch. The squirrels had previously sabotaged every feeder we put out and the magpie's & jackdaws scoffed loads of feed - these feeders will soon pay for themselves! We have hung them from the lower branches of an apple tree about 50 foot from the house and the birds soon came to feed.
