Great morning Yoga! I love this!
Wow, I just used this DVD this morning and it is fantastic! You can do each session separately or all together. You go thru each session once, then a second time. I loved that because my body really opened up the second time around. If you don't want the second round you can hit the skip on your DVD controller (well chaptered). This is definetly not boring! She holds the poses for the perfect amount of time and you'll get a great stretch to your whole body and spine. Also, Linda's voice and the music are very soothing and this is a very nice routine for starting your morning. Linds almost wispers to you, her voice is very mellow and she doesn't talk too much, just enough. My review above is just for the first practice -- you get two others, wow!!! You get a total of 3 practices:--Yoga for flexibility--Yoga for relaxation and rejuventation--Yoga for strengthAll three are lovely. You get 3 complete workouts. This DVD is well worth the money. I highly recommend this for everyone, beginners to advanced. Beautifully filmed in the Pacific Northwest.I will be using this DVD alot! Please check my other yoga dvd review on Amazon. Namaste'

If you want to try yoga, already do yoga or want to get back to yoga. I highly recommend this dvd.
Terrific. Three full yoga workouts on one dvd. You can use the main screen to choose which one you want to do or mix and match. These are full workouts. I like the relaxation and flexibility the most. The strengthening workout is definitely for strengthening, it does make demands on muscles and joints. That portion can be worked up to or you could avoid any poses which hurt any joints. If you are already in shape, the strengthening one will still put you through your paces. I love that this dvd and I love Linda Arkin. She is a great teacher. Another aspect of this tape is that Linda Arkin shows the basic pose and her friend Linda does an advanced version of each pose. You can clearly see each lady and follow along. Cool downs included at the end of each program.

Great for a beginner or intermediate
Linda is my favorite yoga instructor of all time. I started with a VHS tape years ago & was so pleased to find one of her collections on DVD. I enjoy the meditation at the beginning of the segment that gets you in a relaxed & focused frame of mind. The sessions are easy to follow with room to grow into as your skill levels increase. She goes through each pose thoroughly allowing for beginner to intermediate levels to participate comfortably.Linda's teaching style is very warm & approachable & the lessons are easy to pick & choose from in this comprehensive collection. Her videos are a regular part of my home practice & allow me to stick with it when I don't have time to get into the studio. Advanced yogis may not be challenged but this is perfect to start your practice, return to it after an absence or add to your class schedule. She's definitely worth the 5 star rating :)

Compassionate awareness of your body
Have owned the videocassettes for years, but the old VCR started eating them. So happy to find this DVD that has preserved them. Yoga for Flexibility is my go-to program for noticing where stiffness is and reliably stretching it away. Linda's approach is so quiet and gentle, and focuses on communication with and within your body, rather than on achieving the poses. In other words, you are not here to "perform yoga"; yoga is here to assist you. Fosters continuous awareness of alignment, of comfort, of limits, of weakness and strength, of instability and stability. Very nurturing and calming, like revisiting a longtime friend. Thank you, Linda.

best video for beginners; clear and soothing
the first of the three sets is probably the best beginner's video out for beginners who want to learn yoga and develop flexibility. her narration is wonderful and soothing; the explanations are clear and the routines are enjoyable and beneficial. i highly recommend this video. the other two are too advanced for me now but i expect to progress and be able to do those in a few months.

My First Yoga DVD
I've been thinking about taking up yoga to address a number of health issues (high blood pressure, etc) and a friend who's into yoga suggested this DVD as a good starting point. It appears to be made up of fairly old video footage, but that's of no consequence. The material is presented in a clear manner, and the step by step progress of the poses and moves is very logical and easy to follow. Also, there isn't any holier-than-thou spiritual lecturing, which would be off-putting to me.The only reason I can't give it 5 stars is that I don't have anything to compare it to. Perhaps there are a lot of yoga tapes out there that as as good. Regardless, this is a good place to start, and I highly recommend it.

Could have been one of the best Yoga video's
I have had this DVD for some time, now I know why I rarely use it. She often moves into a pose without giving you the instruction. Once in the pose, she willtell you some of the movement. The friend is usually in the "extended" version ofthe pose, which is different. She explains her movement. If you are a beginner -you do not need the extended version yet. Linda usually has great DVDs, but inall honesty, I think having the friend there, was distracting to her and did makeher put too much emphasis on the friend. The third area of the DVD is more likea warm up - and probably should have been the very beginning part of the DVD to help you warm up for the extended poses. Linda's "Natural Body Tune Up" is fantastic, but unfortunately is only available on VHS. Sorry! - this one - justdoes not get it for me. If she would completely redo the verbal part of the DVDand give actual instructions for each move - this would be fantastic. Unfortunately, she is too busy talking and misses most of the needed instructions.By the time she does remember - they have actually already moved into the pose andyou are behind. You get out of position - trying to watch the video - just to stay current with the actual moves.

Absolutely Helpful
It is so amazing! The flexibility program works absolutely brilliant, and I can see that my whole body is more flexible now (in the late forties) than when I was a teenager. I mean it. Highly recommend it to anyone who is thinking of taking some yoga classes.

Best yoga workout tutorial
This is the best yoga workout video I have seen for beginners. The instructor clearly explains each move, and allows time to get into a new pose. I have tried several other videos that move along too quickly. She teaches you how to move safely and effectively in and out of the various poses. The 3 different workouts allow you to use yoga for whatever you need.
