Dihl 120W 22.2V Red Handheld Cordless Vacuum Cleaner HEPA Bagless Lightweight Vac 1L Stick Rechargeable Lithium-Ion Battery

After some research, decided that this Dihl was best based on capacity (1L, not 0.8L as many others) / price / reviews (largely positive). Arrived today, quickly put it together and gave it a blast. Brilliant :-) We have a mix of tiled floors, some carpeted (a lame dog, 1 of 3) plus cat - and it just sucked everything up, no problem at all. Battery arrived 3/4 full, still managed to fill the container twice (carpet runners well overdue ;-) before it needed recharging. Of course I missed the 'Max' marker on side and just filled it brimful (oops) - just kept churning away. Great motorised head-brush, auto-adjusts angle via flexi-hose. Clever dual-purpose crevice/mini-brush. Larger circular brush swivels for best angle. Have to get used to weight (not heavy, just different to usual hose/tube only). Can't comment on stairs performance (bungalow). Likewise haven;t used in handheld-only mode (yet) but reckon well up to the job. Battery re-charges c. 4hrs from flat. In fact so impressed, decided to immediately get another one (really!) for spares and extra-battery. Has to be the best value stick rechargeable around. An honest review, no remuneration/discount received from Dihl etc. Recommended.

I am in the process of trying to return this vacuum cleaner. This is not my main vacuum cleaner and so has only been used about 8 times for very light duties. The first couple of times it seemed OK, but even though I am using it fully charged it has lost suction with every subsequent use. Additionally the brush has stopped turning, even though I have cleaned it out multiple times. It is now not fit for purpose and doesn't even pick up crumbs from vinyl floor let alone carpet. I tried to contact the seller for return through Amazon but they have closed my return request with a reason: Solved a technical issue. I have NOT had any contact from them about this faulty vacuum cleaner, tried to find a phone number to call them on but cannot find one. I am very suspicious of the original good reviews that gave me confidence to buy this as they seem to have a very different performance from their machines than I and others are experiencing with this one.

The seller was great went above and beyond to help ,but he's selling a bad product ,the vacuum is ok on hard floors ,and picks up average fluff from carpets, but don't expect it to pick up hairs or bits off sports socks etc because it won'tI've now brought a proper vacuum

We bought this item to use in the holiday home which has no stairs so we can't comment on that.Otherwise it is performing as well as could be expected. No problems with it and it is so slim it can be stored away easily in a fairly confined space.

Got it and before we could even get it charged one of the pins connecting the motor to the vacuum head had detached itself.the cleaner itself works well but in order to change the head in order to use it on the stairs 4 times out of 5 we are having to rebuild the damn thing.all in all - you get what you pay for. Buyer beware.

Very few people have complained about this item because they were likely expecting a £300 cleaner for under £60. I use this to clean my home and am delighted with it. It is even better than a similar mains vacuum I have. All in all, excellent value for money and lightweight. Well made with metal extension tube and powered brush.Since writing this two years ago the Dihl is still working and charging fine. I like it so much I have decided to buy a second one for use in my sun lounge.

I needed a battery vac as main vac was too heavy, sought this out as a good buy but OMG! what a load of crap. It falls apart into several pieces when you try to use it, battery lasts 10 mins & it has no suction power, its only redeeming feature - it looked good when I got it out of the box! Made of cheap materials and a good example of how to waste your money!

I had a bit of difficulty with the instruction leaflet as it just wasn't comprehensive enough for me. However this has replaced my old vacuum of 30 years as the manufacturer stopped making the bags a long time ago and the inside was filthy! I have charged my new vacuum and used it for the first time and was amazed at how good it was at picking up bits on the hard floor and on my door mats too. Because of the design, it managed to reach under my furniture and has collected all the dust which has accumulated since my spring cleaning. The battery is now on charge while I deliberate where to attach the holder in my very small bungalow! I really am amazed at how good this cordless vacuum cleaner as it was the cheapest I found with 5 stars.
