MarineLandML90618-00 Advanced LED Strip Light, 36-Inch

Best light I have ever bought! I would highly recommend this light for anyone with an aquarium. I am using it for a 55 gallon saltwater fish tank, and it lights it up so well, and has made the tank look the best it ever has - even when it was brand new. The quality of the LED light can't be explained, it has to be seen - it just makes the tank look so much better (in the daylight and nightlight modes).There are black metal pieces on each end that set on the edge of the tank and keep the light itself raised a bit above the actual glass top of the tank. There is a little more space than I've had with other lights I have had, but it works great and doesn't interfere with anything. Even though it is raised up, it is still very low profile - more so than any others I have had.The timer is priceless! I can't believe I ever had a fish tank light without a timer. It is very easy to set. You can set it for the daylight and for the nightlight (blue light). The fish seem to love it too - even the nightlight mode. If you are considering buying a new fish tank light, I'd highly reccomend this one - especially at the great price on Amazon.

Fantastic! I cannot praise this light enough. It has a built in timer and has both blue and white LED lights. We have it set up to start with the blue lights, run the white and blue together for most of the day/evening, and finish with blue lights for 2 hours at night before bed. The blue LEDs produce a similar effect as a Black Light, causing many of our fish as well as our colored gravel to glow. It is amazing and mesmerizing. In the past, I just looked at the standard fluorescent light fixture as just a light for the aquarium. This light is a main feature of the aquarium. And since they are LEDs, I won't be replacing fluorescent bulbs every year. Give it a try, you will be amazed.

Really neat light system. Wish they were a little brighter. I will need to buy another one to go along with the 36 inch light that I have on my 75 gallon setup.

I bought this light June 2017, It work really well for 4 months. It started to flicker or flash. Apparently this is a common problem with these lights. I called Marineland, they did not give me any grief, they told me they would send me a replacement at no charge.I would like to see some other features like a battery back up for the timer so when the power goes out it retains the time also a daylight saving time feature, but for the price it will do.Hopefully the next one I get will last a bit longer

This light fits our acrylic tank perfectly. I love that the light has two timers, one for the blue lights and one for the white. It really brightens up our tank. It doesn't get hot or make a bunch of noise, its lightweight and seems to be pretty durable. I have to move it a few times a day to feed the fish, and it doesn't seem to have any negative effect on it. Also, they wanted $180 for it at my local pet store, so this was a heck of a bargain.The LED is so much better than the florescent lights, not just because of the power savings, but it casts more light in the tank and it's brighter as well.

Don't waste your money, it will die in a few months.I loved it at first, because it was so slim and looked so sharp and low profile on my tank, but when, after five month one of the white LED strips stopped working, I started to feel disappointed. Because, even with one white strip functional, it was still producing enough light for my planted freshwater tank, I kept using it, until, another three month later, the remaining white strip started to work unstable, blink, and, eventually, died.The quality of Marineland used to be famous, but, apparently, something happened to their quality control. Their lights still look sharp but don't last long. And I also experienced sudden clock resets described by other reviewers, not talking about the inconvenience when, after a second long power surge the clock would reset, and you will need to go through several minutes long procedure of setting it up again.

just got it. Fast delivery. they r bright as hell. and I had 3 48" led bar. that's double the price. and it didn't even have the timer on it. Love the timer too. easy set up unless u keep unplugging it from the wall. and I got the 36'inche light. Didn't even relize that it extends to over 48inches. They under price this item too. Its at my local pet store right now for $75 more than amazon.

I bought the 36" light for my 55-gallon tank (48" tank length) after reading a few reviews. I think this was a good choice - the LED lights are very bright compared to the old fluorescents that were replaced. This does mean the ends of the tank are slightly shadowed but I like the look. The extendable legs on the light easily fit the 48" length. I replaced the old light hoods with glass toppers and this light, which is very low-profile and gives the tank a clean, modern look.It is absolutely worth the extra money to get this version, the Advanced, with the built-in timer. The pre-programmed cycle turns the lunar (blue) lights on at 9am, then adds the day (white) lights at 10am. The day lights go off leaving only the lunar at 8pm, then off entirely at 10pm. This can be reprogrammed to whichever cycle you prefer, however I've been using it right out of the box. I like that the fish are accustomed to the light more gradually than just an on/off toggle.At this point I only have 2 live plants in the tank - I wanted to see how they fared with the LED before adding any more. So far they are still green and healthy.This light is said to be suited to tanks with some plants but not heavily planted, which is my end goal.Overall very happy with this purchase and my tank looks great!

I purchase two lights at $200 and although it was in Feb 2017, I'm thinking for the price is should have lastest much longer. What do I do to replace or fix the light?Thanks, Craig
