SignoCast Classic cookware is manufactured using vacuum-pressure casting. High-grade aluminum alloys are melted and forced into a mold, ensuring the absence of air bubbles and resulting in a thick base, thin sides, no interior rivets, lightweight construction, and a perfectly flat bottom that never warps. The aluminum base delivers excellent heat distribution and is perfect for gas, electric, and ceramic stovetops. The cookware's interior and exterior nonstick surfaces ensure easy cleanup and the coating is guaranteed to never chip, crack, peel, blister, or come off. The nonstick surface allows the user to cook by adding little or no fat. Berndes does nonstick right--in 1975, DuPont and Berndes were the first companies to launch nonstick cookware in Europe. Users are not recommended to use metal utensils or dishwashers with SignoCast Classic cookware. The Best Cookware!
I purchased this set to replace several of the pieces from my original Berndes Signo Cast Set. I purchase a large set about 25 years ago from Williams-Sonoma.This set has been through daily usage for over 2 decades and even survived teenage kids.This set was no longer available at Williams-Sonoma-so I decided to look about for a new set. I settled on Calphalon Classic.I purchased the Calphalon at a big box retailer and brought it home. There was a revolute in the family. I returned the set and began looking about on the internet.Bingo--found exactly what I needed at Amazon.Why I like this cookware.`Heats evenly`Cleans up like a dream`Light weight`Ergonomic``Has lasted far longer than any other cookware I have owned`Good valueOh and did I tell you that they are made in Germany-NOT China! :)I could not recommend this set of cookware more highly.

Berndes is by far the best cookware available!!!
Every cook has their own preferences, and mine is always Berndes SignoCast. I love the quality of the material, the way it distributes heat, the easy clean up....to name a few. Cons....well I don't know of any. Although expensive, these are by far my favorite pans to cook with. The only other pans I use are Cast Iron when I need to make rue or brown something really well, and all other cooking is done in a Berndes pan. I own all sizes of pans so I have one for every need.

Love them!
I ordered the three piece set and I absolutely love to cook with them. You get such an even heat. I can't say enough about them! They are so well worth the money!

My best purchase
My first Berndes set that I had was 15 years ago and I still have one left my big Pot which I use once in a while and after spending on other makes which last no more than a year or so I decided to get Berndes because is the best and last for ever. I love it

Great set for a budget and/or small kitchen
Perfect set, absolutely love it, and a great bargin. This isn't the most amazing cookware set you can find but for the money this is a great value! I live in New York City and have a small kitchen and this is exactly what I needed. Keep in mind the 2 lids count as pieces.
